There was already someone on the other side of the seal, and the sudden appearance of the Kiri jounin had that individual immediately flaring out her fans in surprise. That was as far as Ava got, however, before her mind immediately recognized the other and stopped her body from even thinking about sliding into any kind of combat stance.

She hadn't been expecting anyone else so soon after she had also stepped out of the seal, and it had caught her off guard. Still, Ava knew better than to raise her weapons against one of Kiri's best. Tagging along her own mentor had meant she'd met a few other jounin. Some she knew more than others, but even if she hadn't been a tag along... Sephiroth's reputation definitely preceded him.
