Kisame was tempted to call on the seal-scroll he had to transport Samehada to him; it would make the chase easier, but no, not yet. If this turns out to be a fight where he needs Samehada--and really, he could only think of one of the jinchuuriki as really worthy--he will but he needs to figure out who is running first.
He almost ran headlong into the bubbles, but diverted his path at the last second. He recognized that jutsu, and could count on one hand the Kiri-nin who were known to use a Water release like that. And the number that would both run and attempt to use it to slow him down narrowed things down even further. He laughed as he called up some water clones to go tearing into the bubbles--to trigger them in case they're set to explode, of course--and contemplated again summoning Samehada to him. He probably would need the sword if his suspicions were correct.
But no, he'd wait until he had the other ninja in his sights first, and he could guess that the man was heading to an open space to prepare for a fight. That would be east, so he pushed himself faster, dashing over the roofs in the quickest path towards the forest he could see that way.
