The non-exploding bubbles only made Kisame more on edge. He wasn't as well-versed with this technique as he'd like, and most experienced with the exploding ones, so what those had been intended for... He didn't know, but he didn't exactly like it. The water clones were dismissed--and if civilians below got soaked when they collapsed, he couldn't care less--and Kisame continued his pursuit.
He didn't have much hope of cutting off his prey, so he kept to the heights as he passed the buildings by and into the forest. His path was no longer straight now. It would meander to the unobservant, but was a decent and quick search pattern. The action was proven the best one when he spotted the spreading bubbles. A water clone and a boom later, and at least he knew which kind of bubbles these were.
Now, where was his prey? The bubbles were moving on a slowly expanding pattern so he was probably--there.
Kisame raised his voice as he sent out another clone to trigger the explosive bubbles. He could do this all day, literally. "You shouldn't have run from a shinobi, Utakata-san. You know it attracts our attention."
He wasn't close enough to be completely certain, but the man he could see in the distance fit the descriptions, and had the same jutsu. Kisame hoped so; he was looking forward to a challenging fight. And if he won, the bounty wouldn't be a bad thing to have.
