Haku tips his head, mildly puzzled as he follows along. It gives him reason to be a touch more cautious, wondering if Kisame coming across him had really been unplanned. But there isn't much more he can do beyond staying on his guard, even if that doesn't seem like much in the face of entering the Hoshigaki compound.

But Kisame doesn't have any intention of killing him, and he doesn't expect things will end up that way. The shinobi could have probably done it at least half a dozen times by now and while that's not a strictly comforting thought, it gives him less reason to fret. So long as he can make himself useful, they'll have an interest in his safety.
