Juugo felt a little sad at the waterlogged plants. Well, maybe there were other areas that had more lively plants; the rain must make it hard for any except for marshland plants to thrive.
Still, even with few plants, something felt peaceful. Maybe it was the rain, or maybe it was the company. Juugo had never been in someone's company without having to worry about it and... it was very nice.
His little bird friends didn't quite like the rain very much, and hunkered down on his shoulders, and every once in a while, he would reach up and stroke very careful fingers over their feathers, as if to reassure himself that they were there.
