Herbs were always something he grew, knowing fully that the scent was gorgeous amongst the normal smell of their village and a calming sort of effect. It just helped even more that they were useful little things, quelling various ailments as well as being nice additions to various foods if there was nothing else to use them for. Not just showy gifts like these flowers were, certainly not, Haku was nothing but practical in his means.
