Tsunade pursed her lips, looking down at the takoyaki, then up at the kid. There was something defeated in her expression, something that told Tsunade she'd just crushed some childhood dream, or fragile hope, or maybe just dented her faith in humanity.
"Alright, come on," she scooped up the takoyaki, stuffing it in her mouth and walking to catch up to the kid. "There's a place not far from here where I used to train with my team." She clapped her hand on the girl's shoulder, a little too hard to be entirely friendly, but not so hard it broke anything (that would be a little too rude even for Tsunade). "You're gonna show me what kind of kunoichi Konoha is training these days."
and then, a (probably faint) flicker of hope
