He wasn't a novice, that was for sure -- whoever it was, they were disarming the traps and she could hear them doing so. It was too much to hope for that the stranger hadn't noticed that she was at least there, though it was a safe assumption to make that said stranger didn't know her exact location.

Maybe she could disorient this person, or at least manage to discern whether they were someone she should be concerned with, dispatch that person alone, or go back to the village to get help.

It didn't take long at all for her to form a bunshin, using the illusion to jump into where she thought the stranger was while making some noise in the same general direction, her real body hiding behind a nearby tree and out of view of where she assumed he was.
