He approved of the knife, though the mouthful of water detracted from the action. Shame. Still, he'd surprized kids before and then had to fish them out of the water so they wouldn't drown--so that happened exactly once, but it had been memorable--so he couldn't say the kid was completely useless.

'Hoshigaki-san' got a little laugh out of him as Kisame commenced a slow circling around the kid. Predatory and they both knew it, and part of the fun. "I'll give you something for getting the knife out, but swallowing water like that will cost you in the presence of someone who's serious about killing you. Hoshigaki Kisame, kid."

And keeping on the lookout for more surprises was pleasing, and Kisame almost considered finding a way to reward him for it. On the other hand it was hard to summon without everyone nearby knowing, so it wasn't worth the effort.
