"What is to say that it is not you who feels like me, instead of I who feel like you?" He huffs out a quiet chuckle at that, though, and with his eyes still closed, he lifts his hand in a gesture to encourage Juugo to sit. "More truthfully, I suspect I'm something of a distant relative of yours, if you can consider it that." The Je'daii 'bloodline' is so far-spread, and so sporadic. The biological ties between the loose sort of clans that they make are often very small, but it helps that they all mostly work to adhere to the same principles as one another, and the techniques are mostly universal.

Techniques, it feels like, this young one might never have learned, given just how strong and uncentered he feels.

"Sit, and breathe with me." And that's Old Ben, strange old man meditating in your forest who immediately tells you to sit your butt down and learn some instruction.

"To start, we ought to work on your control. Even basic exercises should be able to help you with some of that internal unrest of yours." Something about the way he says them make it evident that he is counting on some sort of compliance, but it isn't forceful, just... expectant. A teacher, waiting with an endless patience to see if a student is ready to learn.
