I LOST MY TAG IN THE MIDDLE OF WRITING THIS SON OF A--

Though he may have thought that she was hardened enough to not allow the blood on her hands to effect her, he would be sorely mistaken in her inexperience when it came to taking lives outside of heated battle. Still, the look and smile she was given were enough to have her on edge, and he was only met with the slightest twinge of a frown in return. It appeared as if he could discern that she was hiding something at first glance, at the least... Damn. She had to work on that, to make herself seem less suspicious. True that it was doubly hard when she had a blinded eye with obvious scarring on the skin near it, but there were ways to explain that.

Still, the man didn't seem hostile - not that she could tell. It was too much to hope that he was simply a rather observant civilian, no there was no way that he was. The becon to join him with those gestures had her guarded, and she had to think about it - was it worth indulging any curiosity about this man, to join him for tea? Or would she seek the safety of her partner, waiting for his return at the very least?

Her eyes closed then, her thoughts gone over with haste before she shook her head and went back to her own tea. Curiosity wasn't a good thing for a kunoichi to feed, she knew. Not when she was currently alone, and not when she was at least aware of how valuable her village regarded her as. If the man was waiting for her to join him of her own volition, he would likely continue to remain disappointed.
