This guy seemed pretty nice, and it seemed like he was a hard worker too - kind of like her. That and, as much as it seemed like he was totally absorbed in the scrolls earlier, he wasn't abject to her company or her offer to at least demonstrate. It was kind of nice, actually.

It sucked that the sort of rejection happened to him too, so if Adela could help him improve that much then it'd be worth it.
