Kushina had decided to take a long way back to Uzushio. Meaning she had decided to spend her last few days of time off for the festival to head back to Konoha for family time. But in a village where word travels fast, it didn't take too long for her to hear that one of the Sannin was back in town. One that hadn't been seen for some time.

So she quickly took to scouring the village, asking around various places if he'd been seen. Finally, she caught sight of him heading for a bar and stepped up behind him.

"HEY! Ero-sensei! Where do you think you're going?!"

Hands on her hips, pretending to be mad, using part of her son's nickname for him in public to complete the illusion... And yet, her eyes betrayed how happy she was to see him again after so long.
