Missions
Kiri is being consulted for a C-rank on behalf of one of the younger ladies of the local civilian court. Kiri officials looking for someone to assign permanently.
Ame is asking for a political envoy from Konoha. Would be B-rank, and about a month long at minimum. Up to 3 shinobi in the party.
Konoha is sending political negotiators to Yuki at the start of July. It's an A-rank and requires at least two shinobi.
Stone petitioning Kumo for a B-rank to Waterfall.
Kusa requesting assistance from Konoha for a B-rank in the Land of Swamps.
Suna is being requested for an escort C-rank by the land of Rivers.
Kiri is being requested for an assassination A-rank by the Land of Frost.
Oto is being requested for a C-rank escort mission by the Land of Bean Jam.
Konoha is being asked to send a team to escort someone on a B-rank in the Land of Sky. Indications of a long mission.
Rumors and Intelligence
Land of Claws subject to widespread fires, no settlements were said to have been harmed, but the locals have become hostile to foreign shinobi.
The Land of Birds has joined the Land of Vegetables in having a dispute with Suna. Reasons are unclear and Suna shinobi are not informative.
The Land of Bears has had an uptick in their weapon quality, though the locals seem to be more reclusive than normal.
The Land of Grass has become far more amenable to Konoha recently, and has extended advanced trade options to that village on a provisional preferential basis.
The Land of Vegetables appears to be in the middle of an embargo to both major nations touching it. Somehow this isn't giving them a monetary decline.
Kiri filled the Nagi island mission on their own, and none of the shinobi sent to it have returned.
Kumo and Iwa have also been victims to an uptick in shinobi going missing or being found dead in the last few weeks.
The Land of Birds recently had a brilliant, and somewhat disturbing, level of explosive activity over the latter part of the month previous, which seems to have left them very eager to negotiate with those around them.
The Auction in Konoha the month previous seems to have stirred international interest, and the current Chunin exam is the biggest since the Alliance was formed.
The Land of Hot Water has closed their borders entirely, and any who attempt to enter are being faced with a resurgence of local shinobi. It is uncertain if the village has been reformed.
Yuki is said to have hit a stretch of difficulty due to the recent storms that destroyed crops earlier in the year. They're properly opening negotiations for the first time in years.
Weather and Goods
With the approach of summer, the heat wave in the East earlier in the year seems to have gone nowhere, though it seems that not only will this be a hot year, it will also be a wet year. When the temperature isn't creeper ever higher, it's not unheard of for there to be intense rainstorms. There have been tornadoes spotted in southern Hi no Kuni. Fortunately, it seems that the fruit crops have started to grow fruit so autumn prices should go down.
Konoha specifically seems to be getting the worst of the Eastern conflict, as the storms make fishing tricky, and interfere with shipping. On the upside, it seems that travelers are more determined than ever, and prices for food have at least not risen. Game is still nowhere to be seen however.
Suna has given up all attempts to reason with their northern neighbors, and it seems that the Land of Rivers has taken pity on them, as prices for food in Suna are finally going down, and visitors are no longer being taken for all their money just to get a bit of bread. It also seems that the Wind Cactus crop is growing exceptionally well as specialty jellies and candies are being shipped out at a higher rate than most years.
Rock has finally emerged from obscurity and it seems that this year they had an amazing crop due to the deep winter, and reports say that a wide variety of berries will be shipped out in a few weeks at better than typical prices. It's also to be noted that ore shipments have gone up from previous years as well.
Lightning having exhausted their overstock, was unprepared for the emergence of late spring hail. All crops that have been planted are in the process of being replanted, and reports say that prices are starting to climb in country for grain.
Water seems to be under siege. Unrelenting rain and at least one Hurricane have buffeted the country, leaving them out of contact for most trade, and making travel perilous.

The Chunin Exams are still ongoing, as you all well know, and it seems that one Ame team, and one Waterfall team, has made it through with the assorted big five competitors. The excitement is strong in the air, because there are a few clans who will be featured that haven't gotten the limelight in years.
