His life had, for many years now, revolved around dealing with interpersonal relationships and people in his clan, so it was fairly obvious the girl was uncomfortable. Since she was going out of her way to keep him from getting soaked, he shouldn't let her stew.
"Are you a Chuunin, Adela-san? And please call me Fugaku-san." After all, if one said "Uchiha-san" there was no telling how many answers there would be. When you lived in a family dense area, shouting last names drew too much attention. Fugaku could make bland table talk with just about anyone--as long as they were over ten. Under that, there was such a tenuous grasp of logic Fugaku found himself just nodding and saying "isn't that interesting."
