The Sound. There was something-- Suddenly Juugo remembered. Nagato had talked about it, as the place that Orochimaru now called home. Orochimaru, who had failed to keep it under control. Juugo didn't regret leaving, because he wouldn't have met Nagato then, but there was no reason to be wary of someone that came from the same place. Orochimaru wouldn't still be looking for him, would he? Orochimaru had gotten what he'd wanted, copies that were under his control, so he didn't need Juugo, anymore, did he?
Juugo shook off the momentary concern and fear that had been creeping into his expression and spent a moment breathing deeply to find the calm that was so important to keeping it at bay. It was almost a nervous tick to reach up and touch his earrings--the chakra receivers that let him stay in contact with Nagato no matter where he went--to reassure himself that they were there, even if he could feel the flow of chakra through them all the time.
This stranger was offering something to him, so he tried on a smile, looking hesitant about it, and nodded. "I don't like coffee."
Chai was... tea, wasn't it? Juugo hadn't tried it personally, but he liked the teas he had tried, so he probably would like this one.

"I will try the chai."
