"Then you should be even more devoted to meditation than I am." The underlying amusement and good humor that Kenobi has held in this conversation so far is starting to wane. "You cannot hope to teach Juugo how to successfully maintain a balance between his three energies if you are unable to master the turmoil in your own two energies." It's not quite a sharp tone, but Kenobi has certainly switched from 'old man' mode to something a little closer to the 'Negotiator' of his jounin days.
"Maintaining the proper balance is difficult, and your young man is lacking the very important groundwork that he should have had as a very young child. You wouldn't have known to teach him." He wants to say 'you are barely more than a child yourself', but he bites those words back. "His parents should have, but either did not, or could not. For all of this, he is doing remarkably well, and it is clear that he has a good heart. But the Je'daii bloodline is dangerous and inherently largely unstable. If he does not learn what he needs to he is a danger to himself much less others." Kenobi relaxes back into a more meditative state again, but a different one. Not the empty, flowing mediation before, but something that brings him closer to a focus.
"I am Je'daii. I have devoted my life to further learning and mastery. I have taught students of my own. I am willing to help you. For his sake, if nothing else." Kenobi leans back, slightly, but the way he meets Nagato's gaze—it doesn't seem as though he's really moved back at all. "But he is your young man. That aid is for you to request. I don't force my students to learn what they are not willing to do." You need help. You both need help.. I am offering. But you have to ask for it.
