Baki was not fond of leaving the village for long periods of time. When he could help it, he preferred to stay close by, or to keep his excursions brief so he could return quickly. But when his village had need for him to depart, he would do as needed. He had been relieved to be back, and even more relieved to see that Suna remained more or less as intact as it had been when he had left it. A call for a meeting with his students was a reasonable idea following his long departure, and it was coming close to the time of year that they submitted assessments anyways.

"Thank you." He nods in turn. "I am glad to be back." Despite the sentiment, he glances at the door behind Gaara, wondering if his siblings were following along after.
