Test Drive Post!
Sunshineverse | ||||
Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

Ameyuri Ringo | Naruto | Kirigakure
Her body is failing. She can feel it in the slight drag in her muscles, in her breath that comes shorter and shorter and forces her laugh higher into gasps and blood. But it's not enough to go to Yuki, not yet, because she doesn't care what they might say and how many almost-orders the Mizukage might hiss, she doesn't trust that clan and their abilities; she doesn't trust how they'll slip away from a fight or mislead, and she's shattered no small number of frozen mirrors in disgust as their missing-nin fled. Now they offer her a chance for longer life. Let them freeze you, she's told. You might survive long enough for a cure to be found. Or stolen. Or manufactured by any of the insane clans in Water. You might not, but you're dying anyway. Who cares?
She does, and that's why she's stubbornly sticking to the training area and its inner courtyard where the apprentices like to roam, because they're not brave enough to rat her out to her medics and she's almost got this technique. One more pass at the training dummies-- she spins, and almost loses her balance, and shreds the wood with a perfect blast of lightning on the backhand instead. Whatever. Another pass will do it.
[2] AGS 2 - thawed out
She can't talk properly. Whatever they did to her throat during the process has left it raw and gummed over all at once, but she's enjoying herself anyway. For the first time since her hospitalisation, she's out in Kiri. With a minder, sure, but that's not new.
Doesn't have a wallet, though. Huh. She'll have to ask about back-pay. How much do ornaments get paid?
"Oi," she turns to look up - automatically, because who the fuck sticks around in Kiri if they're her height - and grins. She's croaking, but more importantly, "Want to buy me lunch?"
[3] misc.
don't zap me senpai
The question catches him off guard, but he smiles and nods. "Sure. Do you like squid?" He knows a place nearby that's quickly becoming popular.

She shrugs. "Why not? Whether the meal's good or not, it'll be something to chew on."

Hands briefly lifting in mock surrender, she heads down the alley.
"Down and the next right, got it."
no subject
"What foods do you remember enjoying?"
AGS 2
Who knows if she remembers him, but he's pleased to help her re familiarize herself with Kiri and what's happened while she was in the ice. There are so few of his senpai left, and Kisame feels oddly nostalgic for his first year or so as an apprentice when there were so many older and wiser to test himself against and learn from. He hardly got a chance to learn from her, but he's learned about her, and there's nothing but respect there.
"Of course, senpai. Any particular dishes you miss?"
no subject
The fact that she's finding Kisame's 'sudden' height and age difference hilarious next to his polite tone has something to do with that enjoyment. He really grew into his sword.
She shakes out her limbs again for the eighth time since they left the headquarters, and revels in the feeling in her fingers.
"I need something to warm me up. How about oden? The real thing from that little stall near the sluice."
no subject
"Oden is an excellent choice." He remembers that little stall, and sighs. "The stall isn't there anymore, but I know of another that's nearly as good as it was. This way."
He turns and walks, expecting her to be able to keep up. Some might coddle, but he knows the Swordsmen. He himself would prefer to be forced to push himself than to have others slow down for him.
no subject
"No kidding. What happened to it?" She remembers it too, though to her it's literally yesterday so, hey, not exactly an impressive feat. The guy who worked there had signed bowls from nearly every Swordsman along the back of the stoves - she remembered spending an hour trying to smash one of them. Can't remember whose it was... It'll come to her. She stumbles as they round a corner, but makes up the time by cutting to the inside, and shoots him a look in case he caught it.
no subject
On the other hand, he has no concerns about revealing he's been a hunter-nin. It's not like he was ever very discreet about it, often taking Samehada with him. Unlike Kushimaru-senpai, Kisame hadn't just absorbed the mask into his identity and worn it all the time.
He carefully ignores the stumble and points out the stall as they turn down another street. The owner might be familiar, having been the daughter of the owner of that other stall, though she's much older than Ameyuri might remember. Some of the signed bowls are still there, but many have visible cracks.
