Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right?

Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header:
Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation

Then you comment around and play with everyone else!

If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country.

One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on.

And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

Huh? Ava quickly hurried after her elder- she always seemed to be hurrying places in an effort to make up for her much shorter height. While she'd worked with many different shinobi as was only expected of those in Kiri, she still wasn't sure what to make of Sephiroth. She supposed she'd find out.

For now, she just followed after him, eyes flickering here and there just in case.

"Do you know my reputation?" The tone was low, not sharp so much as... highly focused, and he didn't stop walking, gaze hunting for a suitably clear area.

Causing a forest fire was hardly on the agenda.

"I don't think there's anyone in Kiri who doesn't." The reply is simple and blunt. There were a lot of things that Ava was sometimes unaware of- she never cared for politics and thus did her best to stay out of them considering Kiri's unstable nature. Still, even she caught wind of things, which said something.

He gave her a dry, humorless smirk, then finally seemed to find a sufficiently open area, where he turned on his heel and looked at her. "How tired are you?"

Such an open area had the hairs on the back of her neck prickling upwards, but she just answered promptly. "Not too tired. I've had a chance to rest."

"Good." He shifted, hand falling to the hilt of his blade as a slow smirk came to his lips. "Come."

"...Crap, you're serious."

This really wasn't looking good... But if she was promoted, then she'd likely be facing against powerful shinobi much like Sephiroth, wouldn't she? Even if she didn't like it... So with maybe a bit of reluctance, Ava equipped her fans once again and slid a foot back. There was a brief second as she seemed to think over what to do before she twisted on her heels as flame chakra razed up along her fans. A sharp snap of her wrist along with the momentum made the flames leap from her fan to the grass, a path of flames going straight to the older jounin as they fed upon the blades of grass.

For now, she didn't want to get anywhere in that blade's range... and changing the battlefield more with her favored element would work for her, too. Those were her thoughts, anyway.

It would have worked better if it had been pretty much any Kiri shinobi but Sephiroth. He was peculiar, even within his clan, and he turned in place, one hand forming a seal as the other swept in a circle, turning the fire to quickly cooled and stifled lava in a circular barrier around him.

"I'm always serious. You can do better."

So he could do that sort of thing... Ava's mouth twisted a bit as she narrowed her eyes. Carefully, she started to circle Sephiroth while never taking her eyes off of him. It felt awkward to her- she was normally a bit more reckless in her fighting if it meant she could just escape or just take out an enemy. But this was... sparring, she was pretty sure, so the rules were different. No point in giving away her quick healing anyway.

"But you don't give up all your moves right away, right?" An idea was shakily coming together in her head.

"I assure you that I have far too many moves for that to even be an option." He shifted on his feet, clearly waiting for her to come to him instead.

That makes one of us, then... Still, she'd make do with what she was skilled in, just like all the times before. Unfolding one fan completely and threw it almost like a burning disk towards him. It would just be a distraction- with her hand now free, she started to make the appropriate signs. It resulted in her skin becoming noticeably brighter and hotter, particularly around the area of her throat before she opened her mouth to spew out Lava Release towards him.

He knew how to handle Lava, and didn't let it actually hit him, sending up a wave of water with only a single hand sign, a wicked smirk on his lips. He only pivoted to the side so the hard projectile wouldn't smack him. "You don't think I've never dealt with that before I hope."

Just like before, there wasn't any answer. Ava was busy darting around to the other side, already making the sign needed for another Lava Release. Sure, the results of her previous attempt were now hardened and useless from an offensive standpoint, but that wasn't deterring her.

This time he didn't even try, just replacing himself with a feather as he reappeared on the other side of the field, head cocked as a smirk came to his lips, cocky and amused. "Try harder."

Oh come on. Ava placed herself on oen of the cool heaps of magma, steam rising up in heavy clouds near her feet with her steps. An accusatory finger was pointed at Sephiroth. "That's crap! How'd you do that?"

"It's Kawarimi. Surely someone past the rank of genin should know how to use that skill by now?" He laughed, smirk widening.
