Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. He peered at her, then at the food, studying it for a long moment before inclining his head to accept the offer. She seemed like a sensible woman, and it was a shame there weren't more like this one in Kiri. It would make being home so much less grating.

She removed the top untouched layer—rice, ginger chicken, crisp vegetables, decent fare all around—and passed it over. She then rose from the bench for the first time since his arrival in order to open her pack and withdraw a pair of disposable chopsticks, which similarly made there way to him. She often shared food, so it paid to keep a ready supply on hand.

That done, she settled back down and resumed her meal.

He accepted the offerings, then took a breath, taking in the scent of the food before setting about eating, his gaze cutting over toward her thoughtfully. She was courteous, crafty, and obviously civilian. He was bewildered.

"Where are you from?"

"The Land of Rice Paddies, these days," Ashiko answered after she finished her current mouthful. "But I travel very frequently. And yourself?" She had more than a fair idea, of course. But it was only polite to ask him the same in return. And who knew, perhaps he might spin her a story instead of the obvious truth.

He peered at her, aware the hitai-ate he wore hand't been concealed, though his cloak from time to time obscured it at his waist. Still, she'd asked for a reason, and had been somewhat pleasant, so there was no reason to not humor her.

Just not in the obvious way. "I travel often as well, actually, though not typically on this patrol."

"I figured that much, at least," Ashiko commented. "I think this little meeting might have gone decidedly...different, if this were your regular beat." A pile of corpses appearing in the stretch of forest one was solely responsible for generally set most ninja's teeth on edge, in Ashiko's experience.

He lifted one shoulder in a negligent shrug. He didn't care what happened here. It was off Kiri soil and thus truly didn't matter so long as there wasn't an army amassing on the other side.

"If this were my regular duties, we would not be speaking at all."
