Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right?

Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header:
Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation

Then you comment around and play with everyone else!

If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country.

One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on.

And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

Abel eyed the travelers approaching the Ame border with curiosity. He'd never seen too many summons, and one that looked like a dragon was actually new. He moved down through the trees, letting his chakra drift out to alert the shinobi that was face down in the dirt of his approach.

"Need a hand up?" he asked politely as he stopped a bit away from them.

"No...no, I'm okay. I can get up." Hiccup tried to do so, becoming an ungainly conglomeration of limb and elbows and he bobbed upwards.

And was knocked flat by Toothless, who surged forward to hiss menacingly at Abel, throwing a wing over Hiccup to hide him from sight. "No! Bad! Down!" Toothless responded to that by hunkering down over Hiccup's body, shoving an elbow into his gut.

Abel simply stood there, an amused smile on his face.

"Honestly, if I wanted to hurt him, I would have already," Abel pointed out, directing his words to the summons. "However, I respect your desire to protect him."

He turned his attention to the young man. "Are you passing through the Land of Rain?"

He had heard there was a courtier coming through and wondered if it was this young man.

Toothless threatened with a high whine that only Hiccup would recognize as getting ready to blast someone--or threatening too, actually. "Toothless, no!" Hiccup jabbed his first into the dragon's exposed neck. "Off!"

With a grumble, Toothless eased up enough to allow Hiccup to get to his feet. "Yes, sorry, I'm--a, Toothless. I mean Hiccup. My name is Hiccup, I'm from Iwa. Me and my partner here, we have, erm, very important documents to deliver." As he dusted himself off, waded through wings and tails, tugged his armor all straight, Hiccup didn't feel very official or intimidating.

"I guess you'd be the border guard?" Hiccup guessed.

"Abel of Ame," he replied with a small bow and a smile. "I'll be your escort through Rain as the God of Ame prefers to have strangers accompanied while inside our borders."

He seemed completely unfazed at the fact that he had nearly been attacked by the summons as if such a thing happens every day.

Hiccup looked at Toothless. Ame had a god.

"Uh. Right. Maybe you should go home, Buddy, since it looks like we'll be walking from here out," Hiccup suggested to Toothless. Toothless grunted and gave Hiccup a "I am not leaving you on your own, fool" look.

"Point taken. Well," Hiccup turned his attention to Abel again. "Thank you for your kind consideration and punctuality. We greatly appreciate it." Hiccup gave Abel a clumsy bow, and Toothless bowed with more grace.

Abel chuckled and turned, gesturing for them to follow him. "Many people who are not of Ame have that same expression when they realize our lord is a god."

He started absently spinning a senbon between his fingers to give him something to do.

"Oh no, that's not what that was about--I mean, just something I ate you know. Travel rations. Yum." Toothless made a helpful gagging noise. He was precious.

"So...is everyone here just...of Ame?" That seemed a little weird. Everyone said Ame was weird anyway, but everyone said Hiccup was the weird, so he tried to be open and understanding.

Also one of the biggest reasons he was weird.

"Yes," Abel said, and from the look on his face, he didn't believe Hiccup about the travel rations at all but was willing to let him have his little 'delusion'. "We are all of Ame, those that live here and fight for our home."

"I guess that's less of a mouthful than Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third," Hiccup admitted. Sort of weird in a creepy cult kind of way, but he wasn't going to knock it.

"I guess you don't have a last name either," Hiccup said to Toothless. Toothless only flicked an ear at him. "Toothless the Nightfury? Scourge of the Lizard People?" For that, Hiccup got slapped by an ear.

Abel softly laughed at their antics. It was nice to see friendly relations between a shinobi and their summons. He had seen a few too many summons be treated as just another tool instead of a friend.

"Why are you called Toothless anyway?" Abel asked the summons. "You seem to have a very nice set of teeth."
