Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. Not a morning person and without a mission or training to be up for, Naruto has managed to roll himself out of bed sometime around noon and drag himself to Ichiraku's dressed in short pants, sandals, and a t-shirt.

"Miso with pork." He ordered around a yawn, propping his chin on his hand and scratching a spot on his left butt cheek with his chopstick.

He really should do laundry. Finding something that was mostly clean-the spot on his t-shirt was only three days old-was something of a challenge today.

Shisui looked over at the blond dandelion head, half turned back to his udon, and then grinned at him.

"Oh, it's you." This was said with a grin, mostly because Shisui remembered this brat. He was adorable, in an awful, ear-shattering way. "Hi Itachi's brother's teammate." Shisui had seen the blond monster arguing with Sasuke from time to time.

"Yeah." Naruto sighed. And then sat up and stared, slightly confused, at the person who seem to be speaking, but not making any sense. "What the hell is that suppose to mean? You?"

Shisui resisted cackling. Instead, he stirred his noodles to cool them before he answered. "I don't know. What do you think it means?" Maybe he was being mean, but it was too much fun to resist. Like flickering with Itachi or baiting Sasuke.

*blushes* I'm so glad you enjoy him. :D

"What do you mean you don't know? You said it! You. Like that!" Naruto pointed, raising his voice, clearly irritated. "I've got a name."

C: Also, IDK if Sasuke's still in the village, I assume he is?

Shisui grinned, but ducked his head. "Sorry, Naruto-san. I'm a cousin of Sasuke's." He paused. "...okay, a friend of Sasuke's brother." There were too many cousins for that phrasing to be exact.

Re: C: Also, IDK if Sasuke's still in the village, I assume he is?

Naruto raised his eyebrows. Then narrowed his eyes at the man. And then snorted.

"I new you were related to him."

Not that it was obvious to him. He didn't look anything like Sasuke in his opinion. He stretched his arms up over his head and reached for another set of chopsticks. Even he wasn't stupid enough to use the ones he'd been scratching with. Or he was paranoid his mother would see him.

"I'd hope you know," Shisui muttered, and popped the noodles into his mouth. He paused, looked at his chopsticks and Naruto's, and decided that they were safe from such abuse and continued to eat.

"I'm Shisui. I've seen you and Sasuke get into fights sometimes." He nodded sagely.

"He pisses me off sometimes." Naruto grumbled.

But then his eyes lit up and he sat up, practically bouncing in his seat when his bowl was set in front of him. He was starving and could easily eat more than three bowls today.

"I'm going to be faster than you some day."

Okay. So maybe he did know who Uchiha Shisui was.

Don't mind if the Hokage just joins you for lunch... or breakfast as the case appears to be. Wow, you look like you've been having a few technical difficulties there Naruto.

"You know, if your mom saw you doing that she'd probably punch you in the head."

"Yeah." Naruto yawned again. Before suddenly having an image of being punched in the head and sitting up to look around a bit wide eyed. He put the chopstick down and pretended to not be worried about being caught.

He couldn't help it, he snickered softly at the look on his face, waving for a shoyu chicken for himself. "I take it Kushina-nee's been in a mood then?"

Reaching over, he ruffled up the teen's blond hair, fully intending the move to be an ambush. "She'll be in a better mood now that she's had a mission out of the village again. Well... she might be if she doesn't see you wearing clothes that are obviously not clean anyway."

"They're clean." They will be before she gets back he decides, picking at the dried little stain on his t-shirt. He snorted softly and sort of glanced around, just in case. "Like a mission will help."

"It will help her burn off a little energy! We both know that her being stuck in the village for a month because of that mission she got requested for drove her nuts, so visiting Uzu will be good for her. Maybe next time you should go with her, you know they've been asking to teach you." He pulled his ramen in when it reached the table, flashing Ayame a bright smile before digging in.

"Go on a mission with my mother? Are you crazy?" Naruto knew his mother was a bad-ass kunoichi, but that didn't mean he wanted to go on a mission with her and get nagged about vegetables and underwear the entire time.

"You don't need to say it like it's a curse." He smirked, shaking his head. "I've been dealing with her since before you were alive, remember? She's calmed down. It's not like when she was in the habit of popping out of nowhere when I was a new genin."

He threw it out intentionally, fully intending to ruffle Naruto's feathers. "Besides, you probably wouldn't see much of her in Uzu, it's a new village you know, they could probably use the help."

Normally Itachi wouldn't say anything about what people chose to eat, but Naruto's ramen addiction had always raised his eyebrow. He had begun to seriously wonder about the kids nutrition, and since Naruto was on a team with Sasuke, then it wasn't nosy if Itachi worried about what Naruto ate. It was practical because if Naruto collapsed from lack of proper fuel, Sasuke could, theoretically, be put in danger.

Itachi ducked just inside the little noodle stand. "More ramen Naruto?"

"Hell yes!" Naruto shouted before turning to see who he was shouting at. "Sasuke hates the way it smells on my breath when I talk to him."

He grinned. It was true, but that wasn't why he loved to eat ramen. He just liked to poke at his Uchiha brat teammate.

Itachi honestly had no idea how to answer that. He stared at Naruto in what he hoped looked like speculation instead of dumfounded silence.

"...I had no idea." Itachi resisted the urge to pinch his nose. "Did you have a healthy breakfast?" He had parents. Surely they made his eat good food.

"This is my breakfast." Naruto tilted his head a bit, not sure what to think about that question.

Both his parents were gone today, he didn't have training or a mission, so he slept until he didn't want to sleep anymore. Isn't that what everyone did?

A noon breakfast of ramen? Granted, Naruto was a teenager, but he was also a ninja. Didn't some class in the Academy teach basic nutrition? Ninja put more demands on their bodies than civilians, so eating healthy was important.

"This is a horrible breakfast." No other way to put it. "There are hundreds of better ways to annoy my brother that don't run the risk of you collapsing because all you've eaten is salt and noodles."

Was that concern he heard? Or was he just getting lectured again? It was hard to tell sometimes. And he liked salt and noodles. But was the concern for him or for Sasuke?

"I'm not going to collapse during a fight. I'll protect my whole team."

This was not going to work. Itachi frowned and wondered what Shisui, with his very persuasive ways, would do. Then he bit down a grin. It wouldn't be as good as Shsiui would have done it, but maybe...

"My point is, Naruto, you know how you're indisputably one of the best up-and-coming ninja out there, right?" And maybe he had laid it on a little too thick.

Naruto raised his eyebrows, surprised by what Itachi had said about him. But he quickly switched to pretending he knew that already.

"Of course I am! I knew that!" He smiled brightly, rubbing the back of his head a bit sheepishly. It was a little weird getting a compliment from Sasuke's brother. Who was pretty cool. But he wasn't going to admit that out loud.

Oh hey teammate. Hinata wasn't actually looking for Naruto but since she's found him she's going to slide into a seat next to him as nonchalantly as possible and pray that the heat she's feeling in her cheeks isn't manifesting into a visible blush.

"Hello Naruto-kun. Late start today?"
