Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application. Hyuuga Hinata | Naruto | Konoha

For all the times that Hinata has left the village on a mission, the part she least looks forward to is returning to the Hyuuga Compound. The feeling of lack that overwhelms her far outweighs the feeling of unsuitablity when she leaves. While her father has begun to show some interest in her again all these years later, the fact remains that most returns to Konoha were anything but happy. She much expected to enter the compound without so much as raising a whisper of surprise.

Which was why she was doing everything to prolong her time away by returning to the clearing where Kurenai began her teams training when she was twelve. It was still within Konoha but it was a peaceful place, one where she could go over her performance in solitude and determine what needed work for next time.

It was sort of like debriefing herself on the mission; she knew what happened but the what wasn't of importance so much as the how. How could she make her next mission that little bit easier on her teammates so they wouldn't have to keep so much of a watchful eye on her. Not that she was a hindrance now, but she knew well she had a great deal to improve on even now.

Izumo had always liked the little quiet Hyuuga heir, even if they'd never talked much at all. Once or twice. But she was sweet and kind and that was hard in a ninja, very hard. So when he saw her, on his way back from sparring with Kotetsu, he stopped and called out, offering a little wave. He guessed it didn't matter if she was actually facing his direction or not, she might still see the gesture anyway.

"Morning, Hinata-sama. Back in the village now?" She'd been out on a mission recently, he was sure.

He rocked back on his heels, offering a little friendly smile, even if it was a bit nervous. He didn't talk much with most of the clanners.

She glanced over her shoulder just in time to see the wave. She didn't make a habit of keeping the byakugan activated within the village. The idea of stripping so many villagers of their privacy tended to bother her a great deal. Smiling, Hinata slowed so that he could catch up to her.

"Yes." She was glad to be home even if she'd only be gone a short time it still felt likes ages when she came home. "Were things uneventful?" She asked an easy smile forming as she attempted to reassure him that talking to her was perfectly fine.

"Boringly so, but that's fine by me," Izumo answered, politely, falling into step with her. He ran a hand through his damp hair, briefly; sparring was hard work, and even now he had his black shirt over his shoulder to cool off, showing that underneath he was wearing a wire-mesh armor shirt. It never paid to be too careful, as the Hokage's secretary. Obito seemed to invite mishap and wacky circumstances.

"Well, unless you count the usual minor explosions, fights, and destruction of small business, but that's fairly typical," Izumo mused, because life in a ninja village Rebuilding was a common low-level mission, after all - Izumo had spent a lot of time himself with hammer and nails in hand.

She nods glad to hear that. Being spared while her friends had to fight due to being on a mission didn't sit well with her. The fact that she assigned a mission would be little solace. So caught up is she with this thought that she doesn't notice immediately that Izumo is walking around only in mesh armor. And when she does a faint pink tinges her cheeks.

"I would almost have preferred spending the last few days in the village then." Her expression souring a little at the memory of the mission. It was still on record as a success but she, Sasuke, and Naruto had their share of mishaps at first, including a ruined ramen stand and a two broken windows. She's fairly certain that they dented something too, but after three days of keeping their competitive streak in check she's too exhausted to recall.

"I bet you would. Those two teammates of yours are hell," Izumo chuckled. He knew them, alright, mostly by reputation and not in person. That was enough. Izumo was already friends with one trouble-maker and prankster. He didn't need more. And perhaps that was why he liked Hinata so - she was in much the same position he was, often as not.

And she was always polite. Izumo liked that.

"At least you're all back in one piece, this time?"
