Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right?

Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header:
Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation

Then you comment around and play with everyone else!

If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country.

One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on.

And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

abileunaspada: (Let's do this!)

Gotta love it!

"Kinda," That wasn't exactly something she liked to think about. However, she shook it off and instead worked on not losing sight of Tsunade, managing to keep up well enough for the moment and stopping some distance away from her. So she was... Okay.

So she was sparring against a legendary ninja. It would be better to hold nothing back, in that case.

She took a calming breath, relaxing her body before minutely focusing her chakra and forming hand seals. That was before she started spitting a long stream of fire at Tsunade, knowing that it wouldn't be even close to fatal for the other woman but at the same time aware that she couldn't hold back if she wanted to test herself against a legendary Kunoichi. Maybe she had a crappy personality, but if she could live up to the hype...
passthesake: (punchy punchy)

awww, what a cutie. she wants to believe in her idol

"Taking the Uchiha approach, huh?" Tsunade commented, dodging to the side. Though she hadn't inherited her ancestor's suiton affinities, and therefore their ability to instantly counter Konoha's signature fire techniques, she knew a thing or ten about dodging fire blasts.

She darted forward, aiming for Milani's solar plexus. If the kid fell to a blow like this (half-power, half-speed, and telegraphed to Kiri and back), she'd be disappointed.
abileunaspada: (There's a hole in my shirt!?)

Hee even better that her idol cares enough to try and live up to show why she's a legend!

Adela had managed to dart back, but it wasn't enough to completely dampen the blow to her abdomen - and she wasn't fast enough to substitute either! She was light enough to be sent flying, nothing more than a grunt leaving her breathless when she landed on her feet as she tried to stop herself from grimacing. She's fast, she couldn't help the absent thought as she regained herself - that might bruise later but she could feel that it wasn't all she was capable of.

Forget testing strength. She couldn't afford to do that.

Several shuriken were whipped out of her pouch and flung towards her, a basic technique as she used her speed to dart through the trees for cover. They started to have paper bombs attached at some point - low impact ones, since it was a sparring match - but eventually they stopped entirely. In the underbrush, Adela formed the seals for Earth Seal: Double Suicide Decapitation and took a breath as she went underground, focused on Tsunade's position and planning on surfacing a few feet behind her. Hopefully she could make it there before she had to surface for air, or worse.

more like, she doesn't want to dash some poor kid's dreams. same results, though.

The kid being flung back was worrying, but her concern was quickly squished when the shuriken came out of the trees. Batting them out of the way, barely noticing the low-impact paper bombs, Tsunade realized she'd lost track of the kid. A smile tugged onto her face; maybe this would be more than a game of low-power tag after all.

"Here's a tip, kid," Tsunade announced, closing her eyes for a second to concentrate. There! The kid's chakra signature blended into the earth a little, but that was definitely it. "Know your enemy." When Adela popped out of the ground, Tsunade turned and tapped her heel on the ground, sending cracks radiating throughout the earth. "All Senju are sensors!"

She reached down into the ground, aiming for the kid's elbow, with the intent of yanking her up.
abileunaspada: (Time to kick some ass!)

[personal profile] abileunaspada 2013-12-17 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Of all things, maybe she shouldn't have underestimated just how strong Tsunade was reputed to be - especially not after this display! She had to scramble out quickly to try and get out of reach, but it was in vain as her elbow was caught and she was, presumably, helpless. It was her right arm too, so she couldn't effectively use her sword or her weapons pouch...

But, she did still have jutsu.

The shock on her face flowed into a grin before her left hand started forming seals and she formed chakra - right up until the ground beneath them turned to sand and started sucking them both in.

"I could say the same for you!"

[[OoC: To explain: Adela is from the east and she does have a kekkei dota; Kouton (Metal Style), which is essentially a set of jutsu that allows her to manipulate metal that she already has on hand. It is a combination of fire, earth, and water chakra in order to form Kouton. Within Konoha she's also learned how to use one-handed seals for nature manipulation, therefore allowing her to pull crap like this when she needs to.]]

"I hate sand," Tsunade muttered, gathering up and converting chakra to raiton-natured energy.

"Good tactics; immobilizing a stronger opponent," Tsunade said approvingly. "Against anyone but me, it might have worked."

She sent the electricity into Adela's body, shaping it to form her purposefully not-famous Ranshinsho*.

[OOC: Ranshinsho: Body Pathway Derangement, first seen in the Tsunade/Jiraiya/Naruto/Shizune v Orochimaru/Kabuto fight in Naruto's original series.]
abileunaspada: Thanks to Tarot for the B/W bases! (You... I... Wha?)

[personal profile] abileunaspada 2013-12-18 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
She couldn't even make a sound before it hit, her body shaking before she slumped. Each time she tried to move it forced an unexpected part of her body into action instead - to her horror, making her realize just how powerless she was. She couldn't even speak properly now, armed only with the knowledge that at this point she had just lost.
passthesake: (genuine smile)

[personal profile] passthesake 2013-12-18 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Alright, come on," Tsunade grunted, when the kid went silent. "Up you go."

She hauled her up through the sand, then laid her out on the ground. Carefully, Tsunade withdrew the electrical field of her technique, calling medical chakra into her hand to make sure Adela's nerve pathways were recovering properly.

"Talk to me," Tsunade commanded, when the check seemed to come back clean.
abileunaspada: Thanks to Tarot for the B/W bases! (Yeah yeah just get it over with already.)

[personal profile] abileunaspada 2013-12-18 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
A loud and long sigh left her when she felt that everything was synced up correctly, the girl sitting up and raising a hand to cradle her head, "So that's the fighting prowess of a legend... I didn't even stand a chance."

She was okay, save for maybe a little damaged pride. Then again, she just got to spar with Tsunade and that in itself was amazing. It'd be stupid to think she could win, or even put up that much of a fight yet.
passthesake: (genuine smile)

[personal profile] passthesake 2013-12-18 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Tsunade laughed, shaking her head. "If you're measuring yourself against seasoned jounin, of course you're going to come up short. I'm sure you do just fine against other chuunin, and you'll be a respectable jounin when it comes time."

She stood, brushing sand and dirt off her knees. Her haori was only a few steps away, and she shrugged it on, rolling her shoulders to get it to settle correctly.

"I'm due at the hospital," Tsunade explained, watching Adela to make sure there weren't any stealthy after-effects from her technique. "Next time I'm in Konoha, though, you'll have to show me what you've learned."
abileunaspada: (Okay MAYBE I'm having fun.)

[personal profile] abileunaspada 2013-12-18 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
Ah... She nodded, getting to her feet and brushing herself off as well. Yeah, she would go to the hospital to help out, wouldn't she... Adela couldn't help letting a real smile tug at her lips, nodding and bowing just a little, "Yeah! And... Next time, the takoyaki's my treat! Thank you, Tsunade-Sama!"

Maybe Tsunade was rude, but she was still really cool. And still a legend. Maybe next time there'd be less flicking, though.
