Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application. Itachi moved to sit down beside Shisui, sprawling his legs comfortably. Instead of taking the cream, he offered out his hand to Shisui with a smirk.

"How do you know where my hands have been?" Shisui asked, but crossed his legs, put Itachi's hand on his knee and squirted a liberal amount of cream onto his own finger, to gently apply to Itachi's wound. He'd done things like that too many times to be bad about it. Point for him.

"If your hands had been somewhere likely to cause infection, then you would have washed them, because for some reason, you're concerned about me getting gangrene," Itachi explained patiently before looking up at Shisui with crooked grin. The tickling sensation of Shisui pressing the cream into the wound was soothing.

Shisui made a face at Itachi, but finished up without speaking and wiped the leftovers on Itachi's pants.

"You won't get gangrene. Life is good." Shisui nodded, pleased with himself, and shoved the first aid kit back under the table.

"You're so mature." Itachi looked at the greasy smear on his pants and wondered if he had a pair of clean pants stashed at Shisui's. Shisui's pants were generally too big and too long. Itachi looked at his hand.

"You should have put something on the cut so I don't get antibiotic cream everywhere." Itachi gave Shisui a reproachful look. Didn't he know anything?

"...what on earth could you do with your hand to make it go everywhere?" Still, Shisui dragged the first aid kit back out, pulled out a layer of gauze and medical tape. "Okay, give me your hand, oh helpless one."

"This is what you get for pitching a fit over silly things," Itachi replied serenely. He could have done all this in half the time, but he had a small point to prove. Also ordering Shisui around was fun.

Shisui gave Itachi a very universal sign, and moved to wrap Itachi's wound. He did a fairly neat job, even though he'd forgotten to do it.

"Done." Shisui flopped to his back with a thunk, possibly annoying the downstairs neighbor. Ah, what did he care? They smoked too much and made his porch smell gross.

Itachi laughed at the hand sign, unperturbed as he watched Shisui flop over. With less force Itachi followed suit, laying near enough to touch Shisui if he reached out and staring up the familiarly stained ceiling.

"Thank you." The words were soft and honest. Gentle.

Shisui sighed, and reached out to make the distance between them, knuckling the inside of Itachi's elbow.

"Always."

Always protect vulnerable areas. Like joints where veins ran close to the surface of pale skin. Joints were always dangerous places, as armor had to bend there, making them excellent targets. Instinct said to pull away as the hair on his arm stood on end.

But this was Shisui.

"I'll remind you of that later."

Fingers loosely curled, Shisui left them there on Itachi's elbow, absently taking his pulse.

"I'm going to regret that, huh?" Shisui asked, smiling.

"Yes," Itachi promised in a way that suggested he would make certain Shisui regretted it. After all, what were friends for?

Itachi closed his eyes and then rolled over to face Shisui, pillowing his head on an arm and suppressing a yawn.

"Mm," Was the entirely coherent answer. Shisui closed his eyes, even though it really wasn't that late and he really shouldn't be this tired.

"This is your fault," He decided, not angrily.

"What's my fault?" Itachi cracked an eye open, suddenly pleasantly relaxed, which meant he was tired. He still ran on the childish energy standards of playing hard and sleeping hard. He'd never developed a solid sleep schedule, so whenever he relaxed, sleep tended to creep up on him. Most often this happened whenever he was around Shisui, most potently when there weren't other people to observe or keep tabs on.

"And to whatever it is, my response is 'you only have yourself to blame.'" Itachi added as an after thought.

"Everything." Shisui made a face. "You can't blame me for that."

[dangodragon]

"According to you I'm a brat, and that seems like a very bratty thing to do," Itachi yawned and forced himself to sit up.

"I'm going to steal your bed." Fair warning.
