Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application. Of all answers she was not expecting that. In fact, if she had been eating, she likely would have - actually she choked anyway. It took a couple of coughs before she shook her head, trying to shoot him a glare but at the same time painfully aware of how hot her face felt, "I think I heard you wrong."

She didn't think she saw this guy around before... Did she?

If Shisui had a mite less self control, he would have laughed. Giggled, because she was going red. It was fun to take someone off guard with compliments--some were smoother than others. This young lady happened to be one of the less smooth ones.

"Ah, I said you were one of the best up-and-coming kunoichi I've seen in a while, miss," Shisui repeated, eyebrows arched but the smile still on his face.

She likely hadn't heard of him--Shisui's biggest and most well known talent was his speed... And he was surpassed by the Yondaime Hokage (albeit in a different way, but Shisui wasn't shallow enough to point that out). If she was at all interested in Uchiha politics, she might know him, but Shisui didn't think anyone would willingly inflict that headache upon themselves.

Honestly, Shisui only vaguely knew the girl. He'd seen her in a chunin exam, a proctor giving running commentary on her skills throughout her match. She was good, but not yet good enough to warrant a stranger's comments.

But, Shisui was a good liar. It was what he did for a living, so he ran with it, just to see what she'd do.

"You're... You're nuts!" She shook her head, getting to her feet as she made to walk away from him. Whoever he was, he was lying. There was no way he'd even heard of her, let alone knew enough to actually say something like that.

"I'm not that good, not yet. Whatever you're trying to do isn't going to work."

While Shisui's mental state had absolutely nothing to do with anything, he didn't think pointing that out would help.

"Your chunin proctor would disagree," Shisui offered, not moving from where he stood. If she wanted to leave, fine! If she was interested, even better!

[OOC: Can I ask details about her third chunin exam? As in, where/when/any important details? Did she set someone on fire and push them into a badger trap? 8D]

"... The hell would you know?" Well, it did get her to stop. She paused in her tracks, glancing over her shoulder to the guy speaking to her. It'd be easy to ignore him but... No it wouldn't, curiosity was getting the better of her. Maybe she'd hear this guy out for a little bit longer, before she decided if he was crazy or not.

[[OoC: On her first attempt, she was outright too injured/exhausted to continue into the final round (along with one of her other teammates while the third made Chuunin that round). The second time she just plain didn't make it because, although she showed potential with her skills and prowess, tactically (and also due to temperament) she wasn't fit for promotion at the time. The third time she was a lot more strategic and was shown to be much less of a danger to herself and others and could in fact be a reliable asset on higher level missions - the thing that finally tipped promotion in her favour. It helped that she managed to get more control over her Kekkei Dota (Metal Style, a combination of earth, fire, and water chakras to manipulate the metal that she has on her) by the time the third examination came around.
