Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application. Crap, her foot slipped, she wasn't going to --

"Look out!" A teenage girl no more than five foot two had jumped too soon when practicing leaping from roof to roof, and instead she fell to land hard on the cabbage cart in question. Which prompted a yelp from the girl with the fall (ow that hurt her ankles) and for the whole thing to tip to the side, a few heads of cabbage rolling down the street.

Not to mention it caused the owner of the cart to let out a very distraught cry of "My cabbages!"

Adela didn't apologize right away, rather recovering and looking a little sheepish as she spoke, "I'll get 'em..."

Which meant that, while the heads of cabbage rolled down the street, the girl (then embarrassed to call herself a chuunin) was working on picking them all up before returning everything to its proper state. Sort of. The dealer wouldn't notice that dent in the roof of the cart from impact, right...?

"How are you going to pay for this!? Those were my precious cabbages and my precious cart you damaged! I expect proper compensation! I should take your head for each head of cabbage that's been forced to touch the ground!"

Damn it. It would have been easy to run away and ignore the guy, but she wasn't low enough to do that... She'd just have to pay out of pocket. After calming down the merchant and pocketing a hefty repair bill, she was now stuck with about half-a-dozen dirty heads of cabbage in her arms to carry home and right past Kagami. Great, how was she going to explain this one to her uncle...

Ah-- Entertainment when you least expected it. Kagami found himself cringing even before the girl hit the vegetables, knowing full well where she would be landing. Old he might be (not really old even, middle-aged, perhaps!) but that did not mean he was any less observant.

"Ah, what did he mean by taking your head for each head of cabbage you ruined, mm? Surely, you have only one." Smiling, the older shinobi stepped away from the mess and decided to walk alongside her. "Young lady, may I?" Holding out his arms, he offered to carry a few.

Now don't you think his back couldn't handle a few cabbages--

Huh? She blinked in surprise at him, even more red-faced as she numbly handed off three of them to him and looking ahead after, "He was overreacting! There was no way he could really do that anyway, and he deserves the loss if he's gonna be that rude over it!"

Nevermind that it was her fault, or that she had agreed that it was her fault to the merchant himself and even told him that she'd pay for all the damages...

"Well..." Kagami shrugged, but collected the offered cabbages anyway. "If that is his sole means of income, then perhaps his rage is understandable?" He glanced at the vegetables in his arms, though. "How much were they?"

Perhaps he could help her out...

"And why were you jumping into the cart to begin with?" Because it looked like you were aiming for it, er--

"I just paid him 300 Ryo to quit freaking out at me and as part of an advance for repairs as well, I know these aren't worth that much but..." That was met with another sigh as she continued forward, frowning at them thoughtfully, "Least they can still be used, if the outer layer is peeled off..."

Urk. Kagami had to ask that. That caused Adela to hang her head with a bit of a whimper, and she paused before finally admitting, "I wasn't trying to hit the cart. I miscalculated a jump and ended up in the alley when I was supposed to land on the other roof."
