Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

A light smirk played on his lips as he kept watch on the area around him, still remaining where he was.
"If you are so intent on fighting me, then why not do so out in the open? You cannot hide and neither can I, an even match." The amusement in his tone was far too easy to pick up on, the whole recon thing having been boring for him in the first place. May as well see what kind of shinobi Konoha was breeding this time.

Even if a part of her was starting to become more curious, she knew that part was dangerous and shouldn't be heeded at the moment. Not when she was dealing with an unknown threat. Retreating wasn't an option then and there though, not when she was unsure of a secure route... She had to figure out just what she was going to do about this.

"It was a recon mission, but those can be so boring, do you not think? I would much rather be testing my skills against someone else than doing recon on an area we already know."
Which was the pure and simple truth of the matter, though whether she believed him or not was still to be seen.

"It's good to test against someone you've never fought before, but there's no way of knowing that I won't just go through with the kill given the chance, or that you'll do the same to me."
no subject
"That is merely a chance that has to be taken, no? But I certainly have no reason to kill you in that situation, it would start an international incident that I would rather not be the instigator of."

... She was really pretty... But that was a Kiri headband, and what little knowledge she had told her that the 'girl's' appearance shouldn't be something that factored into how strong they were.
"There's a clearing about a hundred yards north of here, if you're serious about this."

With a light smile he nodded, demeanor changing from the attitude he'd put up earlier. Kiri may have been one of the more bloodthirsty villages, but it didn't mean he had to be at every moment of the day.
"Absolutely serious. Lead the way, if you will?" Even if that probably came across as a bad idea, all weaponry was stowed away, just to try and make things seem a little safer. This was far more amusing than his mission and would test his mettle.

Even if this person tried to attack her back, she'd be ready for it. Whoever it was wouldn't get past her shield that easily, definitely not from a sneak attack.

Following behind her he couldn't help but take up humming a soft song, hands hidden in the sleeves of his undershirt. For whatever reason, he was happy to have something else to do, even if it was a Konoha shinobi and he was pretty sure there wouldn't be much of a match to be seen.

Whoever this girl was... She probably wasn't expecting someone from Konoha to have that particular bloodline. Maybe it'd be a surprise she'd bring out, depending on how hard the Kiri nin pushed her. It was weird, but she didn't feel particularly threatened. Her opponent was strong, but at the same time it felt like she could believe that her life wasn't in danger.
Believing in instinct like that was stupid, though. She'd have to be careful if she valued her skin, and she'd have to assume that her opponent felt the same.

"Ready." The word passed his lips quickly as he moved from his standing spot towards her with quite incredible speed for most shinobi, hand moving from his sleeve to throw a couple of senbon in her direction, aiming for the spot nearest her navel, wanting to disrupt that chakra point and therefore the path of the chakra entirely.
He wasn't even using his abilities to their fullest yet, wanting to feel out just how much to use against this girl. She could prove to be a challenge if he wasn't careful, who knew how Konoha was, it could all depend on the particular person.

She was quick to whip out several shuriken to throw towards him, attempting to keep him moving as she worked on unsheathing her sword entirely. From the type of weapon they used, it seemed like the other wouldn't be good for close-range weapons. That would be her chance for ending it, but part of her doubted that it would be as simple as that.
no subject
Backing away from her he decided that he may as well try and see what he could get away with. Keeping his distance he watched her carefully, ready to get a hand seal out there if she decided to provoke up at a close distance. It wouldn't be the first and simply not the last time he'd dealt with a close-range opponent.
no subject
She wasn't going to let him get away, not when she wanted to test close range against him. It might be risky to do a one handed seal like that, considering that she didn't know if her opponent would recognize it for what it was or not. She'd find out in a couple of seconds...
