The Personalized Handwriting Meme


"Some people put more effort into their handwriting than others..."

The personalized handwriting meme is fairly simple! The object of this meme is to create your own font to represent the handwriting of your character, then provide a download link for it here for others to install. Then, when missives are written by your character, it can be done with your own character's handwriting!

The method to do that is:

1: Go here and follow the instructions there to create your own font.

2: Make a comment and provide the download link given once you've uploaded your font.

3: Download and install other fonts (according to your OS).

4: Use the code < span style="font-family: uniquefontname, sans-serif;" > WRITING HERE (remove spaces from the brackets) < /span > to display your font when your characters write their letters. For people who don't download your font, the message will display in their default sans serif font.

ALTERNATIVELY

1: Go to Dafont (or a similar site)

2: Find an appropriate font (try handwritten) and download it for yourself.

3: Link it in a comment and use as above.

Gai's handwriting is intended to be a fairly neat blocklettering. I've been trying to find one that seems to be bold and dynamic enough, and because I'm too lazy to scan in my own, I have settled on Unmasked from blambot. If you download the font, this comment will display in Unmasked style (obviously his past comments for missives will not).

Other fonts considered: Permanent Marker Font made by FontDiner. Sadly it doesn't display all that well at my usual Gai writing size, so maybe I will have to start enlarging his font like so. If you download this font, you'll see this comment in Permanent Marker.

I have downloaded the Unmasked font twice now and it still wouldn't show up for me. 8(

And Tenten's font has a similar issue with Permanent Marker in which I have to beef it up to 35pt font for it to show up like it did in my post. The things we do for perfection. *sigh*

Unmasked was rude for others too and I've had issues with a few fonts as well. I don't know that I'll use it if it's going to be a pain. It's nice to see players' character's writing, though. Well, we tried. Sorry it was so rude to you

This is the fist instance of Itachi's font I made a while ago. I made a second but it's not trying to work oops. It's listed in my computer as "itachifont".
