Spring is Here!
Hello everyone and welcome to the first glorious days of spring!
Okay, so maybe for some of you it might not seem very springlike in your home countries, but fear not, the weather in Wave for the next week is going to be wonderful, and you're going to have more than enough time to explore before it starts to turn bad. From today, March 20th, until next week at this same time, March 26, the weather will hold out and all will be well. From the 27th to the 31st however... please hope that you didn't arrive by boat as the latter half of the festival is going to end up washed out, and something like a tsunami is going to sweep in from the East. As it is, travel by bridge will be difficult enough, and will be closed off in the evenings to ensure the small country won't be held responsible for losses.
There is the previously hinted at Food Competition going on in the 23rd, which is seafood based and is widely known to have consistent winners coming from Kiri every year. The categories are sushi, fried, and other, and all judgements are based on taste and appearance. There is an alternate Food Competition on the 24th for anyone who feels their cooking talents wounded, which is only taste based, and amounts to making sure that you come out on top, it will have the categories of desserts, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is otherwise wide open.
For those only interested in eating food, you need not worry! On the 21st, 25th, and 26th will be another sort of competition. The 21st is all about speed, flexibility, and teamwork and is a six mile relay obstacle course set up by Shinobi that were hired into Wave just for that purpose. Please note if you volunteer to set it up you don't get to play, and had to stay in town for the setup! They wanted to minimize the cheating. On the 25th and 26th, it's a whole different kind of competition, with everything from archery to senbon throwing, to kunai throwing, to a swordmanship competition. Each is a separate category, and it will run over the two day span. Rewards, tokens mostly, will be handed out along with a title that will go to next year's festival to overtake. Please note anyone caught using jutsu during these will be disqualified! It's for fun, and they will have a shinobi judge on hand hired to keep it fair.
Other than the main events, there is face painting, vendors of all kinds, weapons, clothes, jewelry, food, even plants, and a hearty appreciation for people in general. There will also be small plays going on every evening at 4 pm, and anyone who wishes to volunteer for these are invited to do so. The more flamboyant the better.
After the 27th, the only ones tenacious to stick around will be the vendors.
So come out, have fun, and enjoy the festival everyone. Not a single country isn't invited.

I still don't know what exact days he'll be there for, but other than acting as Adela's escort and being mistaken as a couple, I don't have any solid plans for him. Other than the fact that he'll almost constantly be eating something.
So if anyone would like him for any reason, don't hesitate to prod at me! He probably won't actually participate in anything, but that could change with enough eh, persuasion ;o
