Test Drive Post!
Sunshineverse | ||||||||
Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

Ono Yusuke | Antique Bakery | Konohagakure - civilian
With an annoyed sigh he searched about the shop once more, before finding the missing ingredient beneath a pile of cloth he'd been using in order to spruce the place up a bit. Well, that certainly solved that mystery, didn't it?
Smiling to himself he set to work, carefully crafting his wares before the normal inhabitants of the village decided to wake. The shinobi didn't seem to take any particular interest in his wares, but it didn't matter too him that much. It was their problem if they wanted to deny themselves of the sweet scents that wafted from the kitchen out to the modest front that after a couple of hours housed perfect specimens of pastry work.
As he finished he wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, a light sigh escaping his lips as he moved to the shop front, greeting visitors and engaging in small talk.
Let no one say Ono wasn't a people person, after all.

Itachi was actually heading home from an unfortunately all night paper work marathon, too tired to take the rooftops home. He was nursing one last cup of too strong, luke-warm coffee as he made his way through the streets, probably looking haggard despite having neated his hair and washed his face of ink stains before leaving the Hokage's tower.
Itachi had elected to take a new way home and paused as he passed a bakery. He took a moment to look it over, trying to remember if he'd seen it before, or if it had sprung up when he'd been away, or if he'd simply never noticed it before. He wasn't usually on high alert in Konoha, so he could have missed it.
Sweets on top of coffee right before bed sounded like a good way not to sleep, but...
There wasn't any harm in looking, was there? Itachi debated with himself and took another sip of coffee.

And since he was done finally setting out everything, he stood quietly behind the display case. No one had really come by the place until he caught sight of the haggard youth, who seemed in conflict about something. A small smile crossed his lips as he decided to try and assuage some of those fears. Sure, this person wasn't in his range of what he typically would take more advanced... tactics for, but it was still worth trying to sell himself out there.
"You can come look, you know. And if you have any questions or want to try a sample, by all means feel free to ask. It's been rather quiet around here today and I certainly wouldn't want to have to throw away all of this. I'll even haggle, if you happen to be short." His tone remained bright and cheerful, smile extending to his eyes as he waited for the response. He probably looked a bit of a mess himself, stains littering the usually pristine and white outfit.

"I'm apologize. I was trying to decide how long it had been since I'd walked this way. I'm afraid I don't remember seeing your shop before." Itachi decided not to mention he'd been debating on whether or not he needed sugar, which he didn't, and had caved to his inner child. Worded like that, he hoped it wouldn't be offensive. Konoha wasn't small, and it wasn't that unusual for a shop to go unnoticed for a while.
