Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. "Okay okay, first up. One Hokage-sama declaration per group of sentences alright? I get enough of that. I get the sense you'd up and not heed me if I tried to get you call me something else so I won't bother. Second.... I like fresh air too y'know!"

...He's not wrong, she's probably not going to listen to him if he screamed himself blue for a year. There's proper rank and respect to be observed, even if the Hokage is weird and doesn't want to.

Also, her face remains downturned, but the expression is skeptical. An advantage to looking down is hiding one's expressions. "...The Hokage office district has the Hokage Monument look out, doesn't it?"

He knew how to deal with people who didn't look people in the eye out of 'politeness' though. He was, after all, an Uchiha. "Sure does, and it's so not the same as being out among my shinobi." He paused a beat, tone rather offhand. "Oh yeah, if you're not trying to make it seem like I'm out to terrify you or beat the snot out of you or something, it's actually, you know, a sign of trust to look an Uchiha in the face."

...Rikudo Sage, now he sounded like Shisui. She thought that was a Shisui-only thing, but maybe it was just because they were the two Uchiha she interacted with that she didn't look in the eyes.

...She actually hadn't known it was a method of caution and/or paranoia around an Uchiha until her new master bopped her on the head with the information. Her parents certainly didn't tell her and probably didn't know, and Shirakumo would be too irritated at the concept of in-fighting to tell her even if he knew.

She hesitated a moment before she spoke. "You are...Hokage. Whether or not you're also Uchiha, it's respectful for a Chuunin not to look you in the face." Maybe that's more of a genin perspective than a chuunin...but figuring out her place in the world as a new Chuunin is...difficult.

"No, see, that's not really true. Haven't you ever heard that it's better to look your superiors in the face so that you can save them from being stabbed in the back than to stare at your toes after a bow and leave the person you're talking to at a disadvantage?"

He stared at her hair, then gave a small shrug, a wry, slightly sad look on his face. "You're a Konoha shinobi Haruno-san, you have no reason to look down, especially not in such an informal setting."

She couldn't help a brief flicker of a smile at his suggestion. Konoha attempting to stab one of the hokage in the back? That...never happened. Hokage, unlike other countries' kages, tended to be beloved rather than feared. Who would want to assassinate or even attack the hokage?

...She hesitated for a few moments, calculating. If she continued to ignore his suggestions, he'd either continue to badger her or perhaps order her not to. Which would be....just a waste of time. And he'd probably have a long memory if she ever went up for a Jounin promotion.

She frowned slightly, and then glanced up at him. She still wasn't going to stand without being explicitly told to. That seemed...challenging when standing so close to him.

"Are you afraid of attack by your own village?"

"No." He waved her to walk with him, then turned and started off, resuming where he was going. "Make no mistake Haruno-san, it's not my own village that I'm worried about." He gave a soft laugh and shook his head. "But Konoha isn't the only village, is it?"
