Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application. [When he got the bird back he was... amused. And vaguely exasperated. He took out the scroll he'd collected that seemed to have a mate just about everywhere these days, deciding to give the thing a try. Sealing it to Karin, he dashed out a reply on that.]

Karin,

Perhaps I was simply in the mood for a more immediate form of communication.

Nagato

[Then he sent a reply back by bird.]

Karin,

I am aware that by bird post you always do, however I meant the version that can also serve as a phone, unless, of course, you don't have one, in which case I can easily send one along.

Nagato

[sensethis]

[She wasn't expecting to see the notification in her scroll. Puzzled she unsealed the message and nodded as she read not that her cousin would ever see. Sealing the message to Nagato she scribbled out a reply.]

Nagato,

I wasn't sure if you would find the form of interest. You seemed content enough with the bird post.

Karin,

Usually bird post is preferable as there is no sense of needing an immediate answer. However, in this instance I am traveling and would prefer to not waste what paper I have on my person.

Nagato

[sensethis]

Nagato,

You actually left your office? You always seem glued to your desk when I send you missives.

Karin

[teachingpeace]

[He stared at the scroll for a moment, slightly put out that she seemed to appalled by the idea.]

Karin,

I've been feeling better recently.

Nagato

[sensethis]

[She nods at the scroll belatedly realizing that Nagato can't see it. She scrawls out a response though she does drop the salutations since it was sealed only to him anyway it seemed sort of redundant.]

I'm glad to hear that. See anything interesting out there?

[Seeing she'd gone to something a bit more informal made him feel a bit awkward, but he didn't fight it, seeing the value of it.]

Much as is typical when one wanders outside in Ame, actually.

[sensethis]

[She rolls her eyes at the text. No need to be obtuse Nagato.]

I meant describe it. I've only seen Uzushio and Konoha. Despite the rain, Ame sounds interesting.

[He hesitated for a moment, frowning at the scroll as he cleared it... then finally started to write again, the sweeps of the brush slow and careful.]

Ame has the most beautiful rainbow of any country. On the days when light breaks through and the rain doesn't stop, which is many, you'll see beams of light that are broken into hundreds of tiny rainbows dropping down from the sky instead of the sunbeams themselves. Our buildings don't get in the way of seeing this, as all of them are streamlined to let the rain run away from them, and to keep our streets from flooding.

The people here are not unlike myself in many ways, as they too have suffered greatly, and want nothing more than to see Ame become the place it should have long ago, if not for unfortunate events preventing it.

Is that, perhaps, more what you wished to know?

[sensethis]

[That sounds really pretty actually. Almost worth leaving Uzushio to see. Picking up her pen again she responds.]

That sounds beautiful. I'm sure a picture wouldn't do it justice. It almost makes me want to come out and see it for myself.

The trade contracts help you and your village come closer to that goal, I would think.

It's closer yes. Thank you.

[He blinked, then a small, proud smile touched his lips. Good.]

Ame will become what it should have been decades ago, and then it will become better. I assure you that contracts such as those will be put to good use.

[sensethis]

[She stares at that a moment. Hopefully, he means that in a benign way.]

I don't doubt it. I hope your plans for your home goes well.

[teachingpeace]

[If he didn't, he definitely wouldn't say so.]

They've been... in progress for quite some time now. After all, unlike yourself... I do have a country to take care of, not simply a village.

[sensethis]

[Hmph. That wasn't very nice Nagato. She hastily writes out a reply, the strokes quick and sometimes shortened as if in a hurry or slightly annoyed.]

I haven't forgotten.

[Yeah that's all of it sorry?]

[Oh, he caught the hint perfectly well.]

Not everyone has the same priorities, why would I assume?

You wouldn't, but you could trust us other Uzumaki to remember.

Perhaps... I am still yet to get accustomed to the concept of family in that manner.

[sensethis]

You will eventually. At least I-

[There's a blot of ink like she scratched something out or having paused to long with the brush on the page while trying phrase the last bit the best way.]

-think you will. Myself and the other kids have it easier in a lot of ways, most of us are too young to remember differently.

Much younger than myself... You're less than half my age, after all.

Well I hope you being so much older won't make it too difficult to adjust.

I doubt it's my age that will be the final deciding point, truthfully.

[sensethis]

Maybe not. You're probably past the horomone influenced decision making stage at this point.

[He stared at the note in perplexity.]

I'm honestly not sure exactly what you mean by that.

[sensethis]

That's probably for the best. Saves me from feeling like a moron.
