THE ACADEMY AGE MEME

"No, you can't eat yourself if you henge into a bowl of ramen, go sit back down"
Ah yes, another long-awaited Sunshineverse meme!
As the name suggests, this meme is fairly straightforward: bring out the cute academy aged icons, because we'll be playing everyone as their young, academy aged selves! This time it's pretty straightforward, but here's a step by step anyway.
Step one: Post a top level comment with your character's name and affiliation at the time of their academy training. You should probably include their age--again, at the time they'd be in the academy--along with it. If, for whatever reason, your character didn't go to a ninja academy, probably just post them as a child around the time other kids would have been in the academy
Step two: Given the nature of this meme, you may want to include a scenario or two for people to tag into, but otherwise, it's a good idea to include relevant information people will need if they tag your character. If during their childhood they refused to leave trees, preferred to henge into a puddle to make people slip on them, or killed people indiscriminately, these are good things for people to know.
Step three: Tag to others, and relive your
NOTE: Ages in this meme are synched up. That means school-kid Karin won't be able to kick it with school-kid Kushina. But! A school-kid Karin could end up interacting with a somewhat younger than current canon Kushina!
BONUS NOTES!
1: Although it isn't required to, all tags and threads in this meme can absolutely count toward actual in-game history for the characters involved!
2: Threads that count for history also count for activity! Just like the test drive meme, if the threads count for history, they also count for activity
3: Don't forget the NPC journal! This is a great opportunity to interact with dead/distanced/etc characters that would still be around or would be prominently involved with the history of your characters, and that's what this NPC journal is there for! Use it!
4: Most important - Have fun, you cute little ninja terrors

"Okay, I'm down. I've never been in a shinobi village before."

He acknowledged the boy's words with a long piercing stare.
"Never? Why? Aren't you a shinobi? What are ya, a cat? Cats can't be people. Unless you're a cat person from some cat village. ...I've never been out of this village and I haven't explored all of it yet. So it's really big. And dangerous. But I'm not scared. Is it really different out there? Like really different? Because I heard it's different. Like brain laundry stuff different."
There was hardly a breath taken between his words. It all rushed out as if it were a single sentence.

"I don't know what brain laundry even it but no I'm not a cat, and it's plenty dangerous too I guess but I'm not a shinobi." He scowled as he said this. "I'm trying, but my parents want me to have nothing to do with it and would have left me at home if they'd been able to for this trip to keep me away from any."

Rin listens attentively for his age. He hops from foot to foot as he tries to gauge just how tall this boy was compared to him. Kitty looked like such an older kid... Would Rin be that tall one day?
"Why not? Do they think it's dangerous too?"
no subject
No, no way.
"Yes... but, but they also think shinobi are crazy."
no subject
"...I've never met a crazy shinobi so there probably isn't one. My dad says that shinobi are people who do things they sometimes don't like. But he's never called them crazy."
It was such a strange concept. Admittedly it wasn't that weird so much as it was odd to hear it from someone as young as Kitty. Okay, maybe it was as weird as not knowing what to call someone.
"...What's your name?"

He had never heard of such a place before. Huge misty fields of nothing but grass come to mind. Perhaps these people lived underground...
"What's it like over there? Is it bigger than here even? Are there tall buildings and underground buildings an-and mole people?"

He huffed right back and crossed his arms. Potential new friend or not, Rin didn't take kindly to feeling insulted or embarrassed. He wasn't sure how he should feel about that comment. It sounded like a genuine question to him.
"...I wanna see it one day. Right now it's warm. D'you mean it gets even warmer? ...Can you take me with you when you go back?" And then Rin could come back home tomorrow and tell his family all about Grass.

That sounded too good to be true, like the beginnings of an adventure! ...But that's exactly why he seemed to wilt a little.
"What if they do catch me? Will they just take me back home? ...I can't be gone all day. I gotta be home by dinner."

"Does that mean you're my friend now?" One gift doth not a friend make, but Peter seemed like a good person. And he actually spoke to Rin as if he were another kid instead of challenging him to a fight for breaking someone else's nose.

"Fine. For today only."

"But let's go do something now before you have to go!"
