Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. Fugaku hoped the hair was natural, then that seemed a cruel thing to hope someone's hair was pink and decided it would be better if it were an unfortunate fashion choice. Was dyeing hair now a thing for kids? If it were, he was sure someone in his clan would complain about it to him soon.

Speaking of complaining, he owed Obito a letter about some new policies the ancients of the clan wanted him to write. As clan head, they thought that was Fugaku's job. Fugaku wondered if Obito just burned Fugaku's letters the second they arrived. If Fugaku had something very important to talk to Obito about, he lectured in person.

Fugaku barely felt the pad of kitten feet on his leg before the tiny kitten was off on the bench and marching up to the girl, calling loudly for attention and possibly food.

...As it happened, her hair was natural. She'd gotten into quite a bit of trouble over the color of it during her lifetime, but it seemed untrue to herself to dye it into a more natural color, and she wouldn't have known which color to choose even if she wanted to.

For the most part, she'd determined to ignore the man sitting near to her and his animals. It was next to impossible to ignore a loud kitten approaching her, however. Perhaps it wasn't impossible...but she didn't expect the cat to be awake or friendly when she sat, and so the sudden meowing caught her by surprise.

She glanced down at the tiny thing in surprise for just a moment, before reaching out to stroke the soft fur on its head with two fingers in response to its approach. Was it rude to touch his kitten without permission? Possibly, but he should have controlled it better, in that case. That seemed reasonable to her, at least.

Although she did speak after a moment, it was to the kitten, and still not to the man. "...If you continue to make so much noise, you'll wake your sibling."

Fugaku would have taken the kitten back, but he couldn't grab it safely without probably touching the girls hand. Maybe he could scoop it up by the back, but the kitten seemed intend on getting the girls attention and would probably just flip out of his hand. It would be a sensation. Uchiha Fugaku throws a kitten.

It was a little rude to talk to the kitten instead of addressing Fugaku, or maybe just meek. Fugaku cleared his throat.

"I doubt that will be an issue." Though Sasuke did that as a child, prompting Itachi to reach for his infant brother with a look on his face that said his father obviously knew nothing about making babies sleep. Fugaku extended a hand for the kitten, who was completely focused on the girl.

The rudeness was as it often tended to be from her: unintentional. She refrained from speaking to him for the dual purpose that she saw no reason why any Uchiha short of Shisui or Sasuke (or the Hokage for some maddeningly frustrating reason) would wish to speak with her, and that it was best she have as little interaction with Uchiha other than those as possible. The less visible she was to the Uchiha clan, the less potential suspicion and attention she put on Shisui for his forbidden training of her.

When the man made noise and spoke to her, rather than continue to ignore her as she expected, she blinked and glanced up at him in surprise. She fell silent for a moment, simply petting the kitten that insisted on nudging her hand when she would stop. What was an appropriate response? Was he simply correcting her, or attempting to engage her in conversation?

Instead of determining that, she deftly scooped the kitten up (she was getting some practice handling tiny animals with the leverets that she often summoned while practicing her newest jutsu.) with the hand previously used to pet it, and deposited the mewling creature with him.

Offering help of any kind seemed presumptuous: simple earth jutsu was undoubtedly within the grasp of an Uchiha of his apparent age. If he wished to create a dome over the basket to contain or shield the kittens with, he already would have.

"...Perhaps...the shop owner would provide you with warm milk to distract it with until the rain passes?" It seemed almost as pointless to give obvious advice as to offer assistance, but he had engaged her in conversation, so she was obligated to come up with something to say. That was the sort of thing she fell back on.
