Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application. "It is my lap because it wouldn't sleep in the basket." Fugaku wondered if Shisui would ever learn to wait for one question to be answered before he launched into another. Probably not.

Fugaku kept his look perfectly disapproving, knowing Shisui probably had that look memorized. "We did not, not that it's any of your business if we had or not. We have mice in the house, and something is eating her garden." Fugaku motioned to the basket. "So I thought cats would fix that." He didn't have any ninja children to sic on the mice anymore.

Funny how he still remembered trying ti sidling up into Fugaku's lap as a two-year-old when Kagami had left him there while on a mission-- and promptly being told to sit in his designated place instead. And the kitten gets to sit in it? ...Not that Shisui still wanted a seat but-- it was just rather hilarious~

Instead of bring up old topics, he settles for a nod.

As for that perfectly disapproving look-- Kagami had once told him that Fugaku was born that way. Apparently he'd had some sort of defective facial muscles that rendered him a permanent scowl. He'd believed it for a long time, too, and over the years, Shisui had come to accept it as sort-of-fact, and somehow the scowl didn't bother him as much as it had done when he'd been a wee thing. It probably never really had the effect it was supposed to be having on the young man anymore. Sorry, Fugaku.... Blame Kagami?

At Fugaku's answer, however, Shisui glances down at the kitten. "It might be a few months till they'd start doing that. An older cat might have been a better option. Where's their mother?" He held his hand out as if it held food, clicking his tongue softly in an attempt to get the kitten to maybe walk up to him. "And have you tried leaving slug traps?"

"They're weaned." Though the smaller one didn't look old enough to be weaned--but, they were litter mates. Fugaku was now certain the runt would become a lap warmer and nothing more useful than that.

"Mikoto requested kittens." Which was only a half truth. Fugaku had decided they should get a cat instead of investing in more traps since they had no small children to pull tails and honestly the cats would be less work in the end. Mikoto thought the cats would be more comfortable in a ninja home with many visitors if they grew up there, and Fugaku couldn't argue with that.

"Mikoto's getting the garden ready for winter, so the plants won't be in danger too much longer. They'll have all winter to grow." It wouldn't be very long before they were at least attempting to hunt, anyway. The tiny kitten watched Shisui with a sleepy peacefulness in her expression, and stood and stretched to walk amiably to his hand, sniffing his fingers. Fugaku crossed his arms.

"We have." The slugs were less a nuisance than the mice in the house--to him anyway.
