Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application. He nodded knowingly and then shook his head, turning to accept his snack and tea before looking back to him again. "Itachi-san's been looking a bit stressed recently."

He picked up his tea to sip it. "I hope that Mikoto-sama hasn't tried to set him up with anyone recently?"

Well, Fugaku wouldn't know how stressed Itachi was because he hadn't seen Itachi in...weeks? Maybe months. The days tended to run together a bit for him these days. He had hoped by this time Itachi would be taking on a few more clan duties, and Fugaku could have a little more free time.

Unfortunately, Itachi seemed more interested in serving Konoha and avoiding his relations.

"If she has, she hasn't told me, and Itachi might be less stressed if he didn't run so many missions."

"We both know Itachi-san likes to work." He paused a moment, not sure how to say this without being blunt, and he picked up a bit of his treat to nibble on while he thought about it.

"May I ask why you need him home?"

Fugaku sat silent for a moment, giving Iruka a long, frosty look.

"Iruka-san, do I need a reason to want my son at home?" Fugaku had a rather...trained relationship with both his children, and he doubted he could ever repair that, but that didn't mean he wasn't seriously invested in their welfare. He did love his children, but his feeling of love didn't seem to come out in a way that anyone else seemed to recognize.

Except Mikoto, but that was a special talent of hers, evidently.

Iruka smiled though, clearly happy about the answer he got. "Of course not, Uchiha-sama. I think Itachi forgets that from time to time. You might need to remind him that sometimes you want to see him for no reason. If you like, I can coax him to speak to you more often next time I see him."

Fugaku's frown only deepened. Eternal smiling was not the correct response to a frosty Uchiha glare, but Fugaku had always thought Iruka was a little oblivious. That he could manage a class of aspiring ninja was a little surprising.

And Fugaku didn't really approve of outsiders meddling too heavily in clan business, let alone the testy politics of his nuclear family. If Fugaku even hinted Itachi come home, he was sure the boy would suspect an ambush of "familial obligation" and be in Kusa before Fugaku turned around.

"If Itachi has something to speak to me about, I'm sure he will," Fugaku replied.

His smile softened, and the look he gave the man was understanding, but he said no more about that topic. He knew that the man had never understood him, and he was actually alright with that. He didn't need to be understood to know how to help.

"Of course Uchiha-sama. Would you like some help containing the kittens on your way back home?"

Fugaku looked at the deceptively calm kittens. He was sure as soon as he needed to go somewhere, they would be wide awake and eager to explore--thus impossible to hold. He probably should have brought Mikoto with him. It would have been a nice outing for them--and Mikoto was better company than Iruka.

"I only meant to get one cat," Fugaku explained his lack of foresight. "An extra pair of hands wouldn't go amiss, thank you." Fugaku considered ladling the kitten out into Iruka's lap, but it seemed to be sleeping peacefully, so he let it be.

"How are things at the Academy?"

"Exceptionally well, actually, save the most recent Sarutobi girl." He laughed and shook his head, talking between sips. "She's actually been doing more fire damage than anyone else this year."

Fuagku shouldn't be pleased to here someone was causing property damage, but at least no one would be complaining to him about "explosive sneezes" or fireballs gone rogue this year. Well, not so much.

Fugaku would take this as a sign the Uchiha students had good control this year, not that they were being out performed.

Fugaku grunted. "Has she set any of her classmates on fire yet?" Burns were common in the Uchiha compound, and everyone above the age of seven or so knew how to treat one, but setting classmates on fire was a complete breach of etiquette. Also, future teammates did not appreciate the difference between singed and burned.

"No, but she did burn down one wall of the Academy." It was an amused sigh of words, and he shook his head. "It was the class next to mine so I got a first hand look at the damages."

At least Iruka wasn't directly letting unruly students burn down walls. Fugaku glanced at the rain, which had more or less let up. He wouldn't get soaked, anyway.

"I should be going." Before Mikoto sent out a search party for him, or came herself.

He looked to the rain himself. "Would you like any help with the kittens? I'm about finished here myself."
