Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application. ??? He actually wanted her to come over? Probably because she looked pretty dumb standing there, huh. Mika wasn't going to ignore the offer in any case. Slipping some money onto the counter, she sidled over and slid into the seat across from Fugaku.

"Hello, Fugaku-san." Mika had her eyes trained on the kitties. He couldn't not let her play with one.

Fugaku nodded. "Mika-san." He didn't really have anything else to say, unless to say he suspected she had something to say. If not, she could go on her way again. She seemed very intent on the kittens. Perhaps she just had an unfortunately strong attraction to cats.

"Have you been well?" The words came out a little stiff and stilted. Fugaku generally wasn't one to ask after people's health, unless he was trying to be very polite to a dignitary or someone equally politically important.

Stilted conversation was gonna be the order for today. At least the fuzzy little critters would dispel some of the awkwardness. She smiled at the cat peeking over the table. So cute!

"Mm, I'm very well today. Thank you for asking. I hope you're in good health too." Even with a little tension in her voice Mika tried to not come off as uncomfortable. Male authority figures had always made her feel wary. At least he was being polite and she would return the gesture. "Ne, are you getting those kittens for fun or mousing?" Fugaku didn't seem like the type to keep cats for the pleasure of their company.

It seemed the kitten had lured her over, not any desire to talk business or any news. Fugaku held back a sigh and checked to make sure the other kitten was still in its basket. "They are for mousing," Fugaku said firmly, unwilling to let even the slightest rumor that he would have cats "for fun" get around.

Especially when the current cats he was carting around looked nothing like mousers and more like something that belonged in a knitting basket. Maybe he should have lobbied harder for taking in one of the stray toms in the area. At the moment these were rather uselessly adorable, stuck in the "I'm cute, don't eat me" phase of life.

Surely such a rumor wouldn't stick, Fugaku was too grumpy for anyone to imagine him cuddling with piles of kittens. "Ah, that one looks a bit too relaxed to be a mouser." He must have another one, Mika glanced down to where he'd been looking and spotted another fluff ball in the basket. Aww. She really wanted to pet one. "Would you um, mind very much if I looked at one..?" Mika's eyes suddenly became very hopeful and shiny. Let her play with a kitty. Please.

"Ne, Fugaku-san, I sent out an invite for a year end party. I think Mikoto-san would have gotten it in the mail." Sure she really only cared if Itachi came but it'd be rude to not extend the invitation to his family. "Since we're already here I thought I'd ask if you would consider dropping by. It'd be all night so people will be coming in and out. Nothing too formal." There, she'd given him some leeway.
