Test Drive Post!
Sunshineverse | ||||||||
Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

Commence staring at my old typos...
He frowned down at the man as he straightened (noting that yes, despite the unusual clothing the little girl was well armed) and stepped smoothly out of her personal space. "You should watch where you're going, or someone will accuse you of pick-pocketing."
There wasn't any point in doing that this time, because Utakata had nothing on him to steal where anyone could reach.
It happens to the best of us.
"That isn't ripe just yet," she said, almost tacking on a 'shinobi-san' when she saw the array of old nicks and callouses on his fingers. She held it in when she realized that he wasn't wearing a forehead protector, and assumed that he was undercover for a mission. Belatedly, she finished off with an uncertain, "...Onii-san."
Well that's not a good sign for me...
He silently added that to the list of titles he didn't like the sound of when addressed to him. Brothers had far more responsibility than he wished to assume in the remainder of his lifetime.
His lips pressed into a line, and he set the fruit back down on the table after a moment, resisting the urge to offer an explanation for holding an unripened fruit as if he were completely unfamiliar with it. "Perhaps I'll find a vegetable instead." That fruit was the most promising of everything on that table, after all.
Autocorrect is my main foe
Ami made a faintly incredulous noise, raising her eyebrows in a decidedly skeptical manner that seemed to have more judgment packed into it than a small girl in a frilly dress should be able to muster up in the first place. "I... would recommend something preserved." That was a tactful way to say that their produce was terrible. Ami wasn't sure if it was because of a bad harvest or if the general store was just not the place they sent the best crops, but the prices and quality just did not match.
Autocorrect tends to be the nemesis of many
Now that he had the opportunity to look at her closely (rather than stumble over her) he could confirm she was extraordinarily small for a shinobi, even a genin. One from the Hidden Leaf, was she? Perhaps they'd started graduating younger classes again...?
It didn't really matter to him, though. None of that was his business, and he had no interest in changing that.
"Eehhh...that's...another stand, isn't it?" He had no idea which.

She wasn't exactly the sweetest child, despite what her image might imply to the contrary, and while she could be sweet, strangers rarely got that special privilege. Sure, she didn't have any idea how good or terrible the snacks in this village were, but a part of her was just happy to be just a little more capable than some older, foreign ninja. She was a serial perfectionist, most of the time.
"Please go ahead." Perhaps she could use him as a guinea pig, of sorts.

As made obvious by the fact that he missed the shelf she'd just been standing in front of. Ah.
He hesitated a moment. Was there...a reason that she let him choose first? "I don't think stumbling over someone is an excuse to cut in line."
