Test Drive Post!
Sunshineverse | ||||||||
Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

He laughed, and subtly lengthened his strides a little, not quite hurrying, but enough to make shorter people have to scramble to keep up. Would she make the effort was the question.
"One, you shouldn't ask obvious questions, eh?" He tapped his hitai-ate in demonstration, very obviously wearing Kiri's sign. "And two, I'll give you a hint. Most of the old clans in Kirigakure have names relating to fruit."
Sure he could have simply corrected her, but where was the fun in that?

There wasn't an issue with matching his pace. Mika was ridiculously tall for a woman and had long legs. Standing at 181 cm, she was on the short end in the family. He'd have to do more than walk briskly to shake her off.
"Mm, you're right! You definitely are from Kiri..." Silly questions are a specialty of hers. "Oh, fruit.." The only thing close to what she was thinking was--
"Hoshigaki then?" How could she forget?! "Sorry, ne, sometimes I get names mixed up. I'll remember that Hoshigaki-san.~"

He tipped his head just enough to give her a closer look while not sacrificing a view of the street in front of them. She was tall and athletic; probably decent in a fight. Not that her looks gave him any better idea why she'd come up so boldly. The lack of fear could be a sign of strength, but it just as easily could mean foolishness.
After a moment he hummed thoughtfully. "I will hold you to that promise to remember. And you are?"

Her boldness was a combination of confidence in her abilities and the rather silly hope that most people would like her too much to do anything nasty. Mika was definitely leaning on the side of optimism. His glance was met with a smile before she returned her focus to the road.
"Oh sorry, My name's Mika. Mika Yamada. My family owns a forge in the village...I take it you like swords." She'd seen the weapon he had, it really added to his intimidating aura.

He nodded back at her introduction, turning down a street at random just for the fun of it, and then laughed at the next statement. "You would be correct; they are my chosen weapon."
Kisame didn't elaborate. If she wanted to know more, she'd have to pry it from him and he'd be interested in seeing her make the attempt. He also wasn't going to give her his first name either, even if it was polite.

She followed him easily down the road, already engrossed in the conversation. Was he actually going somewhere or simply walking aimlessly? It didn't matter, Mika wanted to get information. "Ne, I like the staff myself." Something tickled her brain and the expression on Mika's face changed. "Don't think I got your full name." Was he going to be mysterious and even keep that a secret?~

Kisame turned down a street, a little bit at random, but not entirely. He was learning the lay of the village after all, even if he was careful not to venture into areas foreign ninja would obviously be discouraged from peeking into. The shops were given look-overs of cursory interest, and the restaurants and food stalls a little bit more.
"A staff can be a powerful weapon, in the right hands. And as for my name, maybe you should earn it, eh, Mika-kun?" Seeing how she proposed to earn it would be an insight into her, if not Konoha.

"I like to think I'm good with my weapons." She didn't have anything besides a pack of shuriken on her. "Oh, I have to earn it?" So he was going to be like that. Mika looked to the Kiri nin trying to ascertain his abilities. She had the feeling a spar would be up his alley but Mika would likely get more than she bargained for there. Besides it was too obvious of a challenge, Mika didn't like playing into what seemed to be bait.
"How about we play a little game? A word game?" Something Mika knew she was good at, she did work with codes after all.
