Test Drive Post!

Sunshineverse
Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right?

Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header:
Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation

Then you comment around and play with everyone else!

If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country.

One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on.

And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

Ami was many things: standoffish, aggressive when provoked, a hard worker, inescapably diminutive for her age, but most prominently of all, she had a sense of curiosity that functioned more or less like the average landslide. That is, once it was triggered, the only thing she could was let it run its course. Coupled with her fervent ambition, and the fact that this time Shisui has actually entered the team, that meant that her normal taciturn ways were forcefully shoved aside.

Kabuto could inwardly boast about his deceiving appearance, but on that front he couldn't exactly beat a dollish girl no taller than the average door handle, trussed in frills and bows. Despite all evidence he might take in, her clothes were made of a very durable material, the folds and frills held a miniature armory of custom blades, and Ami herself had been her graduating class's undisputed Rookie of the Year.

She glanced over the group as they neared, glass green eyes inscrutable as she systematically tore what she could see apart for any details that might be useful. Sound was an unknown at the moment; small and largely a bit player, so to speak. However, Ami refused to ignore the danger that an unknown could pose.

"Good day," she greeted curtly, stepping forward and letting her long sleeves fall from where they had been crossed over her chest, revealing the forehead protector tied around her waist like a belt. "Welcome to Konoha. My sensei suspected you might arrive early, so I was instructed to wait for you here."

Cute. That was the first thing Kabuto though when he saw Ami, and it was not a complement. There was no way a girl with bows that big could be as innocent as she appeared - ribbons and bows could get caught on half a dozen things in a forest and be deadly in a fight - unless the girl had the skill to makeup for the dangers of her costume.

Does she fight with them? he wondered, sizing her up with a glance as quickly as she was surely sizing up him. He had seen others fight with cloth before, and the material seemed strong enough to hide weapons in the folds. Surely there must be some hidden trick - if even just to sent such an apparently helpless girl to put them off balance.

No, Kabuto wasn't going to judge Ami until he actually saw her in action, and likely not even then. There were plenty who arrived at the Chuunin exam and held back their true abilities, thinking that scoping out the competition was worth far more than the approval of the hidebound old villages.

But, no matter how cautious he was around an unknown, there was no need to be rude and lose a potential ally. He bowed and smiled widely enough to give off the impression of ease.

"I didn't expect a Welcoming Committee. The Sound is honored." He whistled, and one of his students handed him their passes, which Kabuto in turn presented to Ami. "I assume you wish to check that everything is in order?"
