Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application. Izumo bounced aside from the violent entry. "What the hell! Watch where you're going motherffff---oh it's you. No wonder."

He was pretty sure calling Obito rude names was not going to get him any good jobs. It might get him a free knot on the head, but Izumo wasn't into collecting those.

He looked sideways at the man, then huffed a breath. "You don't need to say it like that you know." He looked past him though... and nope, he didn't see who he was meeting. Damn. He looked back to the man he'd nearly run down. "Could have been a bit more polite though don't you think? I would have apologized."

"Sorry, getting almost run over makes me cranky first thing after lunch," Izumo returned, grumpily, eyeing his erstwhile Hokage. Dignified, oh very. "I suppose you forgot your appointment?"

Luckily, some people were in charge of schedules. A lowly secretary was not the best of substitute, but Izumo was good enough to carry messages of condolences. He held out a scroll with a shrug. "You're rescheduled, you're welcome, tomorrow around ten in the morning. Think you can hold off having any other schedule emergencies until then?"

This last was slyly teasing, not sarcastic or grumpy, and Izumo's smile was back, albeit as a little smug smirk. He liked Obito well enough, which was good seeing as how he worked with the man, and he couldn't help but tease those he liked.

"I didn't forget! The Academy caught fire!" He huffed and rubbed his temple. It had that morning anyway, and then he'd got to listen to flailing about it for over an hour as he failed to get in a word edgewise that it would be fine, please go away.

Yay.

"I need someone to play bouncer, the people I have doing it now let anyone in to rant at me."

"I told you not to let Aoba do it, bastard gets his kicks causing hell." Izumo shrugged. "Get an ANBU squad, that'll do it. Or Fugaku. Hell, I won't come into work if you get Fugaku to do it."

Izumo had run into the man before. Once was enough.

"And really, I'm surprised they think it's still an emergency when some kid set the Academy on fire, as often as it happens. Which was it this time, an Uchiha brat or a misplaced exploding tag?" Or it could have been a prankster with matches, but it was far more likely to be one of the others, in Izumo's opinion.

"Neither, it was a Sarutobi." He rubbed his temple with a huff, pouting. "She took out the entire east wall with an overzealous katon her mother taught her."

For all that he Uchiha were the worst with the fireballs, he really had to wonder why everyone forgot the Sarutobi family tended to be firebugs too. They never did make the suspect list.

"Oh that brat. Figures. She's too smart for her own good, you know. Iruka rants like hell about her." Izumo snorted. Gossip at the missions desks included a lot about the kids at the Academy, mostly because a few teachers worked the missions desks too. It was also because it paid to know who might replace you, bolstering the village's ranks.

"She'll need a hell of a teacher for her Genin cell," Izumo mused. "Anyway they'll rebuild no problem. Fuck, I don't think there's any part of the Academy that hasn't been completely rebuilt in the last three years." He grinned.

"Right? I don't know why it was an emergency today but... If they're so worried about it, I have to wonder why no one has started sticking her outside for lessons, it would be less destructive."

So it was winter, big deal. It's not like they were in Kumo or something. No snow here.

"Good idea. I'll write a strongly-worded memo and send it that way," Izumo chuckled. He didn't know much about handling kids, and stayed the hell away from them; he didn't like kids. Give him a teenager any day. Kids? Hell no.

"You do know you have an appointment with three new Jounin-sensei candidates in about ten minutes, right?" Izumo asked, checking the clock on the wall.

He just stared blankly at Izumo for a moment before spinning on his heel. "I can make it! See you in the office!"

A beat later, Izumo was alone, as Obito had just made a run for it straight back to the tower. There was one thing that could be honestly said about the Hokage. He wasn't slow.

Izumo just laughed out loud, bright and clear, before he headed out the door at a much more sedate pace. He'd be there, certainly, and in good time, but he had a tummy full of lunch and no inclination to run needlessly across the rooftops at this time of day.

He'd get there. Humming to himself, he started on his way.
