Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. Naoki was a keen observer, and he could tell almost immediately the discomfort caused by even the slight contact, hands going back to his side as the man stepped away. He gave him an apologetic smile. "Ah. Sorry," He said, also with a polite nod, as there really wasn't room to bow with the crowded nature of the place.

He stepped neatly to the side to get out of the way.

One couldn't expect a shinobi to not be a sharp observer of body language, but having someone react contritely to someone else's discomfort was not. It could, of course, be an act. Then again this was all spontaneous, Fugaku's being here and the misstep had been entirely his fault, so it wasn't at all likely this was some ruse to get his guard down. Which is wasn't. It would have been easier to stick Fugaku with a poisoned needle. No one would take is amiss is an old man suddenly becoming disoriented or light-headed and needing assistance.

Thus, it was most likely safe to label this act one of kindness and not espionage. And he was supposed to not be so suspicious of foreigners, according to Mikoto. It was bad for trade relations. Being outwardly suspicious anyway.

"Don't apologize when someone thanks you."

He nodded again, this time in silent acceptance of the correction. This was quickly turning into an actual conversation instead of an exchange of polite phrases. Which meant that he should introduce himself. Naoki was fairly sure he hadn't done anything to earn attention in other villages yet, but at the same time his markings made him distinct even when they weren't glowing.

"Kashima Naoki."

Fugaku did not expect an introduction. He was taken aback for a moment, not sure if he'd just actually been given this random persons name after lecturing him on his manners. It wasn't even a grievous breach of etiquette, but something his grandmother had harped on. Fugaku didn't recognize the name, but he made note of it to check on later. Just in case.

Fugaku hesitated, but while he might be a decent political hostage, this wasn't exactly hostile territory. "Uchiha Fugaku." And, anyway, it there was a chance someone this young wouldn't recognize the name of the head of one of Konoha's major clans. Then again he might.

More than most of his peers, Naoki did his best to familiarize himself with important names from other villages. It got as much a reaction as it would have had he not recognized the name, just a quiet acknowledgement. "It's nice to meet you, Uchiha-sama."

His only prior interaction with the Uchiha clan had been to participate in a chuunin exam with Sasuke, and he had been disappointed they didn't get an opportunity to face one another. "I hope we have an opportunity to meet again sometime."
