Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. Kanji completely gets not showing weakness. But at the same time, he sure doesn't think this person's any sort of a threat. His replies are cool and measured all the way.

"We're just tourin' the borders." He names a couple of civilian villages in the nearby vicinity. This isn't the sort of thing that's heading anywhere too sensitive, as far as he knows.

Naoto takes in the information with the carefully cultivated stillness of a fighter that relies on patience and only striking when the time and situation are exactly right.

The answer is a reasonable one, and the caravan will get good trade that way, Naoto knows. On the surface, everything seems perfectly legitimate, and in these times, it's unlikely that there will be too much subterfuge. Naoto knows that Uzushio isn't considered a threat to anyone yet, so early in their rebuilding, and with their small active force. Still, Naoto will not leave any avenue uncovered.

"Understood. However, should those plans change and the caravan decide to travel to Whirlpools, I trust that the caravan leader knows proper procedure." There are a couple nearby villages on that side, she knows, who would enjoy trade, and it would be a potentially beneficial move for a trader, but also a potential problem, with a foreign ninja as guard.

Goes without saying, really, and Kanji nods along at the statement.

"Ain't heard any plans to go off in that direction. But yeah, they're old hands." He's mostly just here in case of bandits or wild animals, rather than to start anything with the neighbours.

Naoto nods, and now that that is cleared up, she doesn't have any reason to stay. She wants to, a little bit, because this is one of the first ninja from Kumo that she's been able to actually talk to and she's quite curious now that he's proven not to be an active threat.

However, the situation is uncertain enough as it is, and Naoto does need to get back to her mission.
