Test Drive Post!

Sunshineverse
Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right?

Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header:
Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation

Then you comment around and play with everyone else!

If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country.

One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on.

And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

She didn't really want to tell him it was jerks from Kiri considering there really was no way for Yuffie to know where a traveler was from. She kept her hands in her pockets and impatiently kicked the ground with a grunt.

"Bad people." She mumbled hoping that was enough for the stranger. She wasn't sure why he was sticking around anyway, none of her traps had worked which just meant that she had to set them up better next time. "How'd you see them anyway?"

"Bad how? And if you need to seriously ask that question, I think you just answered it for yourself." Kisame wasn't going to point out his position. Most people recognized the hitai-ate of Kiri, and his features, and put together with the hilt of Samehada over his back, it was hard not to get recognized. He's curious though, because the traps might have fooled others, if not himself.

Yuffie decided to ignore him. She shifted backwards letting her feet follow so that she could take a look at her traps. They were safely hidden from sight and yet he had easily found her but then maybe it was her that he had spotted first? There really was no way to know for sure but her mind quickly unraveled a few ideas.

She wasn't going to answer him but instead change the question her eyes moving back to towards him with a determined stare.

"Next time.." Her words were soft and while it might usually be considered a threat it sounded more like a promise. Not that she needed a strangers approval but she wanted to prove herself.

"Next time? Next time, I won't be so generous. You've got potential but if you don't develop it, you deserve the price of failing, eh?" After all, failing once was acceptable, but more than once? That demanded a tough lesson, which Kisame was happy to provide if the chance presented itself.

And if the girl showed some respect, maybe he'd show her a way to combine seals into a trap or two to make them harder to dodge. Or increase her stealth so the ambush itself didn't fail so badly. But the way things were going, Kisame was going to end up walking away. She had one chance.

She looked at him. "The price of failing?" Her tone was flat.

Yuffie wasn't so good with chances having blown most of hers throughout her life. She watched him curiously wondering who this person even was. It was obvious that he would easily be able to kill her at any moment. She took a deep breath looking up at him.

"Would you teach me then?" She didn't like asking but it made sense. He could say no and leave if he wanted.
noboatbigenough: (Hey babe. Wanna kill all humans?)

"You should know what that is already."

But then she asks the question, and while it wasn't the most respectful way she could have done it, Kisame had time. Why not? It might be amusing, and he'd get to see if the potential he saw was worth more attention than a passing comment. He laughed and pulled out a small seal paper before flicking it at her. When charged with chakra and placed on flesh it interfered with the nerves of the body, causing radiated numbness.

"Take this and tag me with it before I tag you. Best way to learn how to ambush is learn how not to be ambushed yourself."

The water clone he'd switched with splashed into nothing as he finished, and Kisame observed her response from a tree not far away. He'd start out by giving her the kind of challenge she could expect from a chuunin, he decided. And if she succeeded there, he'd make the next game more difficult
