Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. Analyzing was too dedicated a word. Examined was, perhaps, more appropriate. Toyed with would be even more so, as until he was sure what caught his attention about her, he simply took amusement from her as he could in an effort not to kill her instead.

He finally turned to his own food, and shook his head. "I'm disappointed that you would assume I am as quick to judge as the rest of the town. I suppose that means you consider me a fool." He sighed, as if disappointed, or perhaps resigned.

That really was insulting of her. "Do you think it will be safe for you to sleep here while the entire town believes you murdered someone?"

"Just the opposite. I'd consider you an idiot if you didn't see anything at all in the rumors, again unless you knew better for certain - if only for your own safety, whether you're a simple traveller or not."

And she already knew he wasn't. As for his second question, she merely shook her head at him and rested her chopsticks across the half-finished bowl, signifying that she was done, "And sleeping here's still safer than sleeping in the woods or on the road. It'd only be more dangerous if I was here alone."

"I prefer not to assume innocence or guilt without my investigation. Small towns can be notoriously quick to leap to either assumption, I've found. In my travels." If she didn't come out and say he wasn't a simple traveler, there wasn't any reason for him to acknowledge he wasn't.

But anyone who was allowed to go wandering on their own outside of a village even for a little bit ought to be able to recognize another ninja when they saw one. Especially one like him. If she didn't, anything unfortunate that came to her as a result would be her own fault.

"I've never known an angry town to be less dangerous than an angry bear." He glanced over at her briefly. "Have you?"

Once more she shook her head, at last rising to her feet and laying down some money (plus a rather generous tip) for the chef as she looked to Nakago once more.

"You should know better than that. Avoiding that kind of trouble is simple for us, or we'd be out of work or dead real fast."

That was when she walked away, showing her back - or rather, simply walking but still guarded enough to react to an unseen threat. Though she didn't think the town was in danger of mobbing, she'd take her partner's opinion into account when they officially reunited. It'd be easier to think straight without this weird ninja around, anyway.

And he...made no move to follow her at all. He simply sat at the table and began to eat. There was no reason to follow her at that point unless he was going to escalate things, and there simply wasn't a reason. After all, she now filled the purpose of being a scapegoat for the town, silly girl.

He did call out in a cheerful voice as she reached nearly out of earshot. "I hope that we'll meet again some day!"

Perhaps by then he'll have figured out where he remembered her from.
