Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. Heat and his rebelliousness will need to be brought to heel, sooner rather than later. Gale isn't sure how yet, because at its source, he's certain it's some competion that Heat imagines between himself and Serph over Sera, which is simply beyond comprehension. Why fight? Sera has proven that she is there to help all of them. But now is not the time for that, so he pushes the thoughts away, pleased that Argilla is apparently doing the same.

Then she asks that question, and his mouth quirks in a smile that doesn't quite make it into the light before it's gone. "Knowledge is power, Argilla. Now more than ever. But I will learn to adapt."

They have before, and gotten out of traps and betrayal to come back stronger. He will adapt; he has to. Knowledge is something he doubts he'll ever have enough of to feel comfortable ever again.

There is something in the way he speaks that makes her shake her head, almost like she can hear that barely there smile without looking. Or maybe it was the comment about him adapting. She wasn't sure. And that lack of surety bothered her far less than it would him.

Words bubble up then, teasing words, light-hearted. The words are almost out of place for such a serious situation, but they feel appropriate. "Of that I have no doubt." She very nearly grins then, her body language reading relaxed and lacking in the tension she'd had when they began their conversation.

It would come back, but for the moment it was nice to feel sort of free in the company of a comrade.

She is relaxed, Gale can tell. It's in her voice, and her stance, and Gale knows relaxation will be good when they confront the envoy coming to meet them. This ability is what will make her so useful in negotiations, because Gale feels himself relax a little bit in response.

There is very little else he can do to prepare with so little information, so Gale closes his eyes for a moment, trusting that Argilla will remain alert. It's pleasant, standing here with the salt wind and the sand, and Argilla right next to him.

"Good. Doubt is unnecessary among comrades."

She smiles, not that he can see with his eyes closed. But he has a point, between the core members of their tribe it was idiotic to doubt any of them.

"I know. Thank you for reminding me of that." She's still nervous of course, but it's much easier to ignore now that she's voiced her worried to Gale. She could always count on him to put things back into perspective even when it frustrated her that he had to do that at all.

There isn't much to say in response, so he doesn't. It's quiet between them, but in a way Gale finds he enjoys. The silence will break soon enough so for now he just keeps his eyes closed and listens. The tension has decreased to a slow simmer that's not unusual and he enjoys this level of relaxation.
