Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right?

Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header:
Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation

Then you comment around and play with everyone else!

If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country.

One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on.

And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

fireire: (trilies) (And besides it could be the best)

[The imitation makes her smile just a little bit, rolling the piece of charcoal between her fingers.]

Yeah, that's really smart. Doing all this reconstruction- something like that is really important, right?

[Ava talks as she starts to draw, quick short movements of the wirst as she takes in everything and stands on her toes for a better look.]
ghostpepper: (he does the cutest things when teased)

[personal profile] ghostpepper 2014-03-02 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. For a lot of the people here my age and older, this was our home for however long. All of this is because I want the newer generations to know their roots, whether or not they're from my-- our clan.

[The correction comes with a sheepish grin to the guards. And sorry not sorry Ava, but Kushina's gonna watch you draw from one side, trying not to block your light.]
fireire: (sobbinq) (I think I just saw somebody hide)

[personal profile] fireire 2014-03-02 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
It must be nice to care about something that much...

[It's said absentmindedly while she's standing on the tips of her toes to get a better look.]
ghostpepper: (attention officially piqued)

[personal profile] ghostpepper 2014-03-02 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Mm! It's like watching my family grow more and more everyday.

[It took a minute, but what Ava actually said finally filtered in. Her smile droops, her eyes turning to Ava with surprise and... pity.]

--Eh?! Don't you have something important to you like that?
fireire: (sobbinq) (We'll talk about this tomorrow)

[personal profile] fireire 2014-03-02 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Not really.

[It takes her a second to realize the tone of the conversation has changed. Her shoulders hunch up a bit and she stops her sketching.]

...Sorry if that's weird.
ghostpepper: (I always know when it's you)

[personal profile] ghostpepper 2014-03-02 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
No it's just... Sometimes I forget how different the other villages can be in their philosophies. To me, my family means everything. Not just my husband and son. But my niece, my whole clan, my friends back in Konoha, the villagers here... They're my family too, y'know. It's just how I inherited the Will of Fire. The desire to protect the people I care about most, even at the cost of my life.

[She seems pretty at peace with what she's saying as she goes on and on and-- whoops! She catches herself rambling.]

Ehehe... Sorry about that.
fireire: (tirezi) (My goal is to not catch on fire...)

[personal profile] fireire 2014-03-02 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a lot of family... [And Ava isn't sure if she would even protect her own.]

But don't you think that makes you weaker, if you have so many people you have to watch over? What if someone got taken hostage and you had to choose between your goal and the hostage?

[It's what her teachers at the Academy always taught, anyway.]
ghostpepper: (it's a long and complex story)

wow i swore i answered this but i must've lost the tag when chrome crashed sorry!

[personal profile] ghostpepper 2014-03-09 09:09 am (UTC)(link)
If anything, I think it makes me stronger. Wanting everyone to come home together and alive while we complete a mission is definitely something that makes me fight harder when my team faces an enemy. If I'm strong enough, no one gets taken hostage or killed. But I'd choose to help my captured teammates every time, even if it means failing the mission. All of us returning home safe means we can try again another day or take other missions.

[She hasn't faced that tough decision yet, but it's one that her husband's team did. A decision that nearly cost one their life, but thankfully did not. If they had the bravery to make that choice at 12, certainly she could all these years later.]
fireire: (sobbinq) (We'll talk about this tomorrow)

we are the most on-top RPers

[personal profile] fireire 2014-03-09 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
So.... It gives you more initiative to try and succeed...?

[That's something she hadn't taken into consideration. As far as she knows, all her teammates fought so hard just to not be failures and for loyalty to Kiri. Most of the time, anyway. The idea of failing a mission... That was shameful. It showed you weren't reliable. She'd known that other lands were different, but it's only now that she really experiences such a difference.]
ghostpepper: (come on come on turn a little faster)

yup :'D

[personal profile] ghostpepper 2014-03-09 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmhm! That's how I look at it.
fireire: (sobbinq) (Being alone has allowed me to)

[personal profile] fireire 2014-03-09 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
...How do you find people like that?
ghostpepper: (hm?)

[personal profile] ghostpepper 2014-03-09 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Find people you care about? [This is something she hasn't really stopped to think about...] Hm... I guess it can start with your family, friends, or people you know. Just get to know each other and after a while you kinda find yourself caring about what happens to the other person. Or something like that.

[Wow this is hard to put into words...]
fireire: (sobbinq) (We'll talk about this tomorrow)

[personal profile] fireire 2014-03-09 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[Family and friends and people she knows...]

So I guess it's not going to happen... [She finishes off a few things with the sketch before putting it all away.] Thanks for showing me the scrolls. I think they'll make my client happy.
