The NPC Meme

I'm sure someone knows their names...

Welcome to the NPC meme! This meme has certain special rules and functions unlike many other memes! In this meme, the NPC journal isn't just encouraged, it's how you play. Or, at least...how someone involved in the thread does.

The premise is simple: You post your character to lure in some characters who aren't currently being played, and someone else brings in the NPC journal with their interpretation of that character. You play a thread! CR gaps filled!

Alternatively, if you have a character you might be interested in playing in the capacity of an NPC (such as a character you don't want to app, and thus put in a test drive, for one reason or another) then post a top level for that NPC.

Currently played characters may tag out only to NPC top level comments, not to each other. NPC characters could tag to anyone. However, since threads in this meme are eligible for AC (and therefore game canon), it's best for NPCs to tag current characters, rather than other NPCs.

Steps/Rules

1: Post a top level with either your character or an NPC you'd like to play for the meme (Using the NPC account!) - If you're looking for someone specific to tag you, be sure to include it in the top level somewhere so people know to bring them.

2: With your characters, tag out to NPC top-levels or wait for an NPC to tag you. With NPCs, tag out to top level 'current' character threads, or respond to characters that tag your NPC of choice.

3: Thread things that can't yet be played out, or might never be able to be played out!

4: When playing an NPC, since you'll be using the NPC account to do it, don't forget to track the thread with one of your own accounts! (If you have a paid, at least. For free accounts, it's still recommended that you track at least the entire post so you don't miss anything!)

Blood and guts had stopped bothering Sasuke a long time ago -- what irritated him about it, now, was inadequate cleanup. He'd clearly spent too much time in hospital being berated by short-tempered med-nin in his formative years, but the sight of this person not only wearing most of his opponents on his clothing but carelessly leaving them strewn over the ground with no hint of respect made Sasuke's eyes narrow further.

"I am," he said, not bothering to dignify to response with anything clearer. His Konoha forehead protector was tucked away at the moment, perhaps for the best: he didn't miss the glint of sharpened teeth. Kiri-nin, of course.

There was something to be said about the reputation of the Bloody Mist mostly dissolving into a bloody mess over the years, most of which didn't bear repeating to an actual Kiri-nin. He gestured to the bodies strewn around them instead, frowning. "Are you planning to do anything about this?"

Sasuke's lip curled at the answer, disapproval clear in his expression: the only reason to not consider cleanup after a mission, if this had even been one, was recklessness. He looked at the bodies strewn around the field again, taking in the swordwork more closely. That, at least, looked professional.

He made a dismissive noise rather than bothering to reply to the question, though his gaze caught the detail of the stranger's hands now free and hovering around his weapon. The combined attitude spoke of someone who looked at opponents as sport more than anything else, something that Sasuke had seen before and disliked every time. Opponents who could be treated as a game weren't worth the effort.

Taking a deliberate step back to give himself a better angle, he swept his hands through seals, chakra gathering before he leaned forward and exhaled fire over the corpses. Bloodied clothing and wet grass caught flame reluctantly, but he kept it hot enough that they did, and if he didn't show particular concern for the other person who might be too close to the fire -- well, it could be passed of as an accident if an international incident arose.
